Two stars for ok taqueria food, but also ONLY two stars because the second time I went was the second chance to have a better orderI went up a second time to double check my order, was assured it would be fine right and it wasn't. I got the single taco plate, a to go order. I live about two minutes away. By the time I got home, and I placed my order at the restaurant, the taco was soft , soggy, and couldn't be picked up. Not to mention very little filling.Overall it's only okay food but over priced and to get my order wrong twice is just frustrating. Won't be going back. I left a tip even! With how the works is today, I want to get what I pay for! And a simple order at that.Disappointed.
Just all around horrible, the al pastor was so gristly and I’m not the type to even mind gristle. My wife’s quesadilla was more like a burrito without rice. The beans in my burrito were flavorless and tasted hard and old and fresh out the can. I don’t know how this place had any 4 star reviews at all. Maybe because taqueria aren’t popular in san Ramon, I have no idea . But I would definitely save your money and go somewhere else. El grullense is worlds better. But it’s in pleasant hill.
You must try this place. On their menu, there's no extra charge for lengua!! All places I have been to charge at least $2 more. They also have a salsa bar with chips that you can do yourself. I got a burrito with al pastor. The rice and meat was sooo favorable. I also got 2 buche tacos. They were so filled up the meat i had to use my chips to eat half of it so i could hold it to take a bite! I can't wait to go back.
very humble, hole-in-the-wall for Mexican cuisine. food is spectacular, service is excellent, but be advised this is no frills: the quality is in the cooking. prices are a bit steep bit forgivable. menu fits on one page so you won't starve while reading it. open 8am to 11pm, one of the few eateries open so late, which is a perk for swing shift workers. location is junk, alas, but there is parking galore. alcohol served, vegetarian options exist. strongly recommended.
The salsa bar is amazingly fresh. Prices are very reasonable for the large portions. Taste is authentic. The service is fast and friendly!! Supporting this local business again.
Had cheese, bean and rice burrito. Tasted good and enjoyed. Nachos...amazing.Let you to pick up salsa. Nice idea, no wastage.
I am usually not around in this area as much but whenever I am, this is one of my favorite go to taquerias. You can’t go wrong with there Super Burrito. And there Salsa Bar is always fresh.
Fresh ingredients. Chips are delicious. Many many sauces. Big menu. I was ordering and couldn't understand the guy and I asked a different question and he just repeated himself so as far as staff interaction.. eh. It was super busy with a line out the door.My carne asada taco looked pretty sad with dry meat. I got a tostada though and that was delicious. very big meal. Goodness. Tasted excellent for breakfast in the AM and the free refills on horchata are killing me. I'd go back for sure but maybe not on a busy night.
So far only had a burrito but it was fantastic. I enjoyed the chille Verde and my buddy swears by the El pastor. Gonna have to try the camarones next time! Salsa bar is great too. The neon orange one packs a punch!
Parking is easy, tasty menu, and there's enough seating that I've never had to wait to sit and eat. Fajita plate with extra tortillas is my go-to, and I share that with one other person, so healthy portion size too.
