The most delicious food i found in the usa so far. They all the time doing amazing dishes.
Loved it ,we were coming back from great america ,on the way back home,we were so cold and hungry and we stop by there ,I ordered chicken Tikka and seekh kabab it was so delicious ?, a bit spicy for our taste but we still loved it
Inconsistent food quality. Horrible bathroom.Not clean. Tandoori chicken is excellent on a good day.
I’ve been going there for four years, the food is really delicious and the prices is cheap compared to other restaurants. The people who work there are really friendly, that’s why we keep coming back to this location.I would highly recommend trying their food.
Not the same taste as pre-covid. Naan was thick and chewy like pizza dough.Been going to Shalimars since they first opened their first restaurant on Jones St in SF.
Beef Nihari is really good 9 out of 10 times and once a while its just OK. Thats much better success rate compared to other famous ones. They are probably the only ones who give Nihari sauce only with togo orders at half price of Nihari. This help because in a togo container most of the space is consumed by a big chuck of beef and you get a very little sauce.Chicken tikka is always the best unless you got unlucky and get a slightly burnt one :) . Chicken and beef seekh kabab are awesome too. Must try any of the spinach/methi saag dish (aalo palak, saag gosht and chicken saag).Chicken qorma, chicken karaHi and Goat Karahi are okay. Haven't tried lamp chops in a while.Overall good food . They do need improvement in presentation/garnishing and adding condiments to the order.Customer service is exactly what you expect from a Lahori restaurant :) .
We came so far to eat cuz we heard the food is good but when we walked into the restaurant, the place is filthy, unorganized, no table is to sit and eat that was clean. When asked to clean takeaway one table they responded it’s self service. I mean what kind restaurant is this? Where u can bring ur own cleaning supplies? Totally disappointed!!! Don’t invest your time coming unless u want to clean!!
Did not like a food - tikka was so raw like they clean it with water . Kabab has no taste and naan was not close to Tandoori Rooti. On the top the attitude was not at good - no happy welcoming smile. They need to invest and make place nice so people can enjoy seating . No salad just onion and those are also very strong .
We ordered a chicken dish and it had dead flies, yes dead flies, that's what cleanliness is all about. Wondering if anyone from food inspection visited them. They cheat on prices too. They charged 1 $ more on each item and didn't provide any bill. Wondering how this business is still functioning. Never going back again.
I think the food is overall good, i like how they make the food spicy . But it tends to be oily and small portioned. The service is usually not good and can be rude at times. The last time I went there, which was during pandemic, none of the employees were following the regulations for Covid. No one was wearing masks. Also, even though I was the only person waiting there no one was helping me. They all saw me waiting there and continued their conversation. After awhile of waiting, they finished their conversation and asked me what I wanted.
