The service was fast, the portion were big. The sushi was excellent. Good prices.
Can the service be improved? Of course. Can they have thicker pieces of sashimi if you order a $100 platter? Sure! If you order a soft shell crab roll, shouldn't the entire roll contain crab? Well, duh! I won't be back.
I ordered 3 lunch bento boxes to go. The food was very over cooked. The tempura skin did not look nor taste right, greasy and extremely hard. The salmon sashimi looked like washed with hot water, not smelled fresh. The beef teriyaki was shredded thin beef, .... :( I will not go there again.
Huge portions! Great value. I had a craving for sushi and saw there was a new casual Japanese restaurant in Dublin with great reviews so wanted to check it out.They have a broad range on their menu, from your classic sushi and bento boxes to udon and yakitori. I even spotted spicy tuna nachos on their menu (will try that next time). The menu had all my Japanese favorites in one spot, like takoyaki and katsu curry.I tried the Hamachi kama (~$17), the Halloween roll (~$15), beef teriyaki and CA roll combination dinner (~$18). The yellowtail collar came out fairly quickly (normally it takes 20 mins) so my guess is that they pre-broil it and torch it upon order for speedier service. I thought everything tasted decent. It's not a fancy place so I wasn't expecting anything to wow me. I'd definitely eat here again.Another bonus is that the restaurant is super clean and service was friendly. There was no wait and the food came out fast. A great spot to go to for a quick and filling meal!

Enthusiastic staff, delicious food! Loved the sashimi special platter, plated beautifully and filling for a party of 4-5 when you add a few rolls.
Short review: stellar food, stellar staff, portion sizes are very good especially for the quality.Longer review: My wife and I showed up at 5 and were quickly seated and the staff was super polite. We ordered a LOT of food and the portion sizes very much surprised us. It's very rare for us to find a high quality japanese restaurant with such generous portions. Speaking of quality... everything is SO good! My wife and I have been massive sushi fans for over 10 years now and this is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to.Now, everything up to this point was already 5 star worthy but they were kind enough to give us Salmon Kama on the house! (Also delicious). After the meal they also gave us a very juicy slice of pineapple on the house as well (we have had complementary desert before but not appetizer).If I could give 6 stars I would. Not only are their food and portions top notch. Their staff is phenomenal as well. This will definitely be a new regular place for us.
This place used to be known as Yakitori west. We loved that place and got a bit disappointed,when we saw a new name... HOWEVER. The new name brought a new level of joy.Great food, outstanding service and pleasing eyes price. Thank you guys for a new level up!
The beer is super cold and the sushi has always been good
