Fried crab is a waste as most of the crab flavor is dominated by the oil and dough. So, go with boiled.
This place requires an extra fee when you eat inside. On my birthday, my family of 6, gave the server a tip and then when we went to pay and they added a service fee that totaled over $70. When I got the receipt, you can see in the wait staff’s eyes that they were expecting me to be mad. They must experience this often. The waitress was nice so I paid and left with my family, though my parents were upset. Will be going to either Rays Crab Shack in Fremont or Boiling Crab in San Jose or just taking the food back home. But remember to check your food, they often forget to give everything you order. As far as the flavor, its alright. The sauces are more liquidity and thinner than boiling crab and Ray’s crab shack. The seafood doesn’t seem that fresh and the crab legs were over cooked and mushy. This place is fine if you’re ordering take out and maybe just getting a pound of clams or shrimp. Everything else, I would just take a 30 minute drive elsewhere.
The service was pleasant and the food was all good. Got the combo 3 to share since I was not that hungry. It was so good that I wanted more. One claim was sandy but the shrimp was perfect. We mixed up the sauce since we couldn't decide on which one. Will go back again.
I usually go to San Jose to get some crab/crawfish but was craving it late and looked it up and found this place. Always seen it but never got a chance to come in.Well it didn't disappoint super nice staff and the seasoning was very tasty! Got the lemon pepper wings and fries for sides loved it. The crab and shrimp was very delicious will deff be back!
Food was good but service was pretty bad. Our waiter had zero communication skills. He stood next to our table, stared at us and pointed at the QR code, it was awkward!
It was a nice experience, the sauce for the seafood was good. They have different flavors and levels of hot sauce. They also have alcohol drinks. The service was fast. It was also clean.
This is a terrible place to go if you don't like seafood. However, should you be pressured to go ANYWAY, don't worry. They have rice or noodles. You'll be fine. Let them have their fun. If seafood IS your thing, they give you literal bags and bags of it. It all looks decadent and delicious. Worth the experience.
As expected, food wise. The food is good. Priced ok. Was my first time there, the waiter was making me feel little stupid. He was not talkative at all. Pulling information from him like pulling his teeth. Even though, I enjoyed it ( the food). They were out of some soft drinks. I had to order my least favorite drink. For $40+ dinner by myself, I expect more. I sure will go there again to validate my reviews. I will go there for the food and I will develop thick skin for the service
We are used to all the great restaurants in the South Bay, but since the pandemic has us staying closer to home, we have tried to find new places in the Tri-Valley area. This one does not disappoint. We have only done take-away a couple times now, but it is fantastic. The crab boil bags are as good as any I've had, including in New Orleans.Definitely mix up the spices for flavor overload!! For someone who likes spicy food, the medium isn't overwhelming on spice, but makes for an enjoyable meal. Even the mild is interesting. I am hesitant to try the volcano, as I just feel the spice would be too overwhelming to be truly enjoyable, but I plan to try anyways. I always add sausage to mine.Oh, and get the corn. Lots of it. It's very tasty after it's been bathing in the bag.
Pretty fresh and good selections. Taste good on the crawfishs. Woild come again.
