Unfortunately after years of dining at Casa Orozco, they’ve lost the quality, and the food was tasteless, the restaurant was horribly dirty, and horrible service. RIP Casa Orozco.
Not sure what was worse, service, food or drinks? Crazy to think that the Orozco in Livermore is related. Big difference for sure. Livermore location is WAY better. So we had an almost $300 dinner that sucked. And, at the Dublin location where there were so many raves. Don't waste your $. Didn't hit the mark. No raves here. When a Mexican restaurant can't even get the tacos or tequila right... there's a problem.
Enjoyed a really terrific dinner at Casa Orozco. Ordered nachos and a combination dinner and everything was very tasty. I enjoyed their very crispy chips and flavorful salsa, as well. I was happy with everything except the hostess seating a solo diner in a large room with a party of 25 people or so. The noise became very loud very quickly and I didn’t fault the large party, I do think the management needs to train the hostess to seat smaller parties in a different area. There were many empty tables as I left and I couldn’t eat quick enough to get out of there quickly. Fortunately, I asked for a to go box and was able to take the balance of my dinner back to the hotel and was able to enjoy it the following night with lots of peace and quiet from my room.
My niece had taken me to one of her local restaurants. During the Spring and Summer months, they have local bands play outdoors. We sat out on the patio which was nice. I had ordered the Barbacoa, a slow cooked Beef which comes with rice, beans and choice of tortillas. I enjoyed the dish and would recommend it.

I love great Mexican food, but that's not what I come here for. This is just "good" restaurant Mexican food that I enjoy when I want a relaxing sit-down Mexican restaurant, which are lacking in the trivalley area unless you head out into Livermore. Margaritas are decent...order by the pitcher for a little better value. On this visit, steak fajitas were unremarkable as the flavor was just bland. Cadillac margarita pitcher was good, and we had the evening we wanted and expected. If you focus on quality of food, there are a couple local taquerias among the best in the bay. Want a sit down Mexican restaurant in this area? Come here.
The service was terrible. We stood at the front desk for about 10 minutes while the hostess chatted on the phone and never acknowledged us. Some one came up, barely acknowledged us, and then finally realized we needed to be seated and brought us to our table. The server who finally came to the table made us feel as if we were putting him out. He was very short with us, never checked on us. It was not a busy night. There was only a few other people in the restaurant at the time. We felt very unwanted there. Food was ok. Not bad at all. But with how we were treated it is not worth going back to to be treated with such disdain.
Service is great. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food could be better. I'd say Service was 4/4.5 and food was a 3. The food just need more flavor.
Fish tacos , had about half of the amount of fish as normal.. Maybe 2 Ozs of fish per taco. Fish tasted different, and they raised prices by $1 per taco. I've been goin to the restaurant since they bought it from my highschool friends Dad, when it was Foster Freeze. Same amount of sauce with half the fish and cabbage mix = a sloppy nasty mess at home. I politely called and asked to speak to a manager and got hung up on after waiting on hold for 2 mins. Jan 27th 2022. No biggy, plenty of other places to spend my money.
