I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! every time I am craving sushi this is my number one in the list. Quality of the fish is good, the rice is also tasty not to sweet or mush you can see the perfect grains in each nigiri. My FAVORITE is the crunchy rice spicy tuna, flavors are well balance freshness of jalapeños, fat from the spicy risaracha, sweet from eel sauce. One thing is for sure, be ready to wait sat and Friday but the wait is WORTH IT!!
Great sushi and most importantly great service. Take the drive to Downey and you will not regret it. One of the best Sushi places ever. Ask for Tony he is the best and believe me you will not regret the drive if you are not from Downey. This is my new sushi place
The quality of their sushi is really good. The portions are shareable and a good size. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. They check in on you throughout your meal and have recommended very good dishes based on your preferences. I love this restaurant and have not had a bad experience. I recommended this place to anyone who loves sushi. They do have a small parking lot but there is plenty of residential parking down the street.
It's good but not what it used to be. I don't know exactly if it was the vibe or the food but somethings off. After the pandemic, most things never returned to what they used to be but if you're looking for a quaint place to take a date, this spot's nice, clean and the Sushi is pretty good with options for your appetite as well as your wallet.
Very kind people that work here. Always give their full service have never had a bad experience here.Actually this is the first place I tried sushi maybe 5-6 years ago.Thank you for keeping my business. On top of that best sushi in town :)
To give this place a one star is one star to many. Let me begin with the service. Terrible!!! The server had the worst attitude and was super rude. We felt so much shame and tension with her. When we were ordering to actually asked us “ are you sure because that’s expensive.” My 2 year old nephew dropped his water and she was maaaadd! Was rude about it and never brought another drink. Our reservation was at 7:30we arrived at 7:15 sat at 7:35 order by 7:40 and at 8:25, before the chef came to us, we were told to make our final choices because they were closing. The chef finally came out at 9. Now while he was nice it was obvious he needed more training, but that’s not a bad thing. The food was mediocre. Edible, but not worth the $400 bill at the end. I hate to comprare places to others but if you’re wanting teppanyaki go to Gozens instead they are perfection. This place tried to be Gozen and failed. Will definitely not be returning.
I really like this place, the food is good, the service is good, the wait is average. This time around the service was subpar. This time the gratuity was added to my bill. I had a party of four and my one year old. When I asked why there was a gratuity automatically added to my bill, I was told this was done with a party of 5 and more. I thought this was pretty dishonest, charging for a party if 5 because if my one year old? When I told the waiters my party was 4, my baby was not included. She said, would you like to me to take it off? YES! I thought this was common sense. I was going to originally leave the 20% gratuity, but this left a sour taste and decided to only tip 10%. Not cool.
One of the best Sushi restaurants in Downey. The portions are bigger than expected. Great presentation and excellent sushi dishes.? The only bad thing is that the bar service is close so none of the cocktail drinks in the menu are available ?
The best service ever saki drinks are bomb. Try their neck bone yellow tail
Food was amazing. Wait staff was incredibly attentive. Cannot wait to go back.
