Found El Carrisal by accident; a very happy one! Food was outstanding: hand made tortillas, delicious el pastor, wonderful chili relleno made to order from scratch. Staff was warm & delightful. I only wish Pupuseria El Carrisal was in Ventura instead of Downey!!
Pupusas here are delicious! Price is reasonable. Definitely recommend!

Good food, pretty good service, expensive, and bad or no parking.Order ahead where possible to avoid a long wait. There's only street parking, two spaces in front of the restaurant.The food tastes good and the portions are good.

Their panes con gallina are the bomb and their plátanos fritos are not greasy. Their yucca frita is really good. Los panes rellenos are also bomb.
The pupusas and the cabbage salad they serve is delicious definitely will be going back again. The lady and guy where amazing they called us when the food was ready to pick up. The horchata is Salvadoran so it has a different taste then the Mexican horchata, it was still delicious
I really enjoyed the food here with great service. In my opinion I found the quesadillas very delicious!
