I used to love Porto’s Bakery, everything used to be yummy and good, unfortunately lately the quality of their product had suffer, I don’t know what they are putting on the whip cream that they used in the tres leches cake that it tasted funny like old oil. It seems like they have choose quantity over quality. It feels like they are not making things from scratch anymore but using pre made ingredients. I guess Portos is just going to become a memory of the past because in the future I won’t be going back.
My wife and I love Porto's cheese rolls, but we alway have to get them shipped to us in MA and they come packed in dry ice. When we were in California, we stopped by with a friend and got them fresh from the bakery, and they were delicious! The line can be a bit long and chaotic, so order ahead on their app, but either way, they have such a wide selection of pastries and cakes to choose from! Try the cheese rolls, you won't regret it!
This place has everything , it even has sandwiches and the prices is unbeatable. I tried a sandwich called Cubano sandwich. It turned out very delicious and enjoyable meal. It has egg, cheese, pull pork and something like banana chip. Sure I would be back here for lunch. It is right next to my work place. It takes a 5 ‘ walk from my work.
We were in town visiting family and they kept telling us about Porto's, so we paid them a visit. They did not disappoint! I ordered two kinds of potato balls (pictured) and my husband ordered the steak torta.The cheese and pepper potato ball was creamy and delicious. The original potato ball has ground beef, which came as a surprise, but was also delicious. One of each isn't enough, especially if you're sharing! The steak torta was seasoned well. Comes with a side of plantain chips. Yum!We ordered some baked goods to go for the family and they were gone in minutes! Chocolate chip muffin, cheese roll (most popular!) and the guava strudel.We will be back for more!
One of the best bakery place in NorCal. This was my second visit. My last visit in L.A, I tried at this bakery the first time but in other location (not here). I was wondering why this place was so crowded, so I tried and I had to be in line about 1 hour. It worths the wait. They have savory and sweet bakeries, most of it tastes so good and they are reasonable price which started from $.70. They also sell coffee, smoothies, cake, sandwich and salads. I also like their smoothies especially mango and guava one. It’s highly recommended bakery place you should never miss and you can’t go wrong with their sweet, savory bakery.
First time here. Line was fairly quick and the experience was great. My favorite item were the cheese rolls! A must try!! The hot chocolate was also great! They add shaved chocolate and whipped cream!
The mango moose bomb is my favorite thing on the planet! As busy as they are everyone welcomes you with warm smiles and a sweet treat. Everything you get here will be better then expected. 12 out of 10
This visit was shocking! It was nearly empty. The staff out numbered the guests...of course that was short-lived. It was beautifully festive.We ordered the perfectly priced chocolate chip cookies, fluffy and light blueberry muffins, potato balls, chicken empanadas, spinach and feta empanadas, cortadito, strawberry mojito and a dulce de leche latte.All went well except a slight mix up with our drinks. The cortaditos is like a shot size so it was baffling that both that drink along with the mojito sat there while they processed like 8 more drink orders after mine. When I asked for the drinks, it was luke warm. They continued to say the latte was coming. Finally, the latte arrived 10 drinks later and just taste like only milk.Karina and Dulce were very pleasant, patient and extremely knowledgeable. They were able to make recommendations. It was great, food never disappoints, prices are reasonable. There is always a bit of a wait, this time was shorter than other times. They are a bit more organized so lines move faster. Always great place to visit.
Great location with nearby parking garage and fast service.
