The Carnitas are very good with all options... Burrito, wrap, torta, taco.... The cost is a bit higher than other places, but meals are large enough to share. This is 1/2 of the Guacamayo wrap (it's a full circle) and a full size torta. Lots to enjoy.
The food is great. I been waiting to try this since the pandemic. The highly anticipated menudo was great. I'm not a salt person but it could have had a pinch to bring out the flavors. Cheese sauce is really good with a kickThe cucumber drinks were excellent. The horchata was the best. The ceviche was very good. The staff and atmosphere were on point. Very clean behind the counter in the dining area and the ?. I highly recommend Guacamaya Oasis. Worth the price. I order online so it would be ready when I arrived so I could have fun eating and not waiting.

Love how new vegan options are popping out everywhere. This place has plenty of Mexican favorites. Thought not pictured here, I’ve had the pozole and it’s my favorite.
Food tastes great, fast service and beautiful decoration but terribly overpriced. The Guacamaya wrap was very tasty, flavorful and the wheat tortilla was slightly toasted so it was a bit crunchy. The Lime Chipotle salad was excellent, it comes with a generous portion of grilled portobello mushrooms and lots of baby spinach. The ultimate torta was great too, lots of flavorful chorizo and crunchy fresh bread. I wouldn’t recommend the aguas frescas, not so much flavor or value on them. The location is very nice and there’s plenty of parking.
I only went for my vegan friend but didn't have the best experience. The food is pretty expensive for the portion size, and it's okay taste wise. I got gorditas, but they definitely taste different to the ones I make. These aren't fried and I bought it with soy chorizo. I think I'm allergic bc my eye puffed up the next day:( my friend ordered the same thing, but there was a hair in her food. It happens. They were nice and brought her back another plate. My vegan friend ordered menudo and she liked it well enough but maybe not for the price. The inside is nice tho and it's one of the only vegan places in Downey. It's an okay place but wouldn't come again.

Their aqua frescas are really good too, we tried the cucumber lemonade and mango, and it was perfect for washing down all the great food we ate. It was our first time here, and we definitely plan on coming back... repeatedly! LOL.... So glad there are more creative restaurants serving delicious food in Downey now.
If your vegan then this place is very good. The guacamaya wrap with chicken and guacamole is one of my favorite vegan foods ever. The green sauce in the bomb! The place is decorated to be very instagramable. My only complaint is that the prices are high. The aqua fresca prices are laughably high. Rating 4.5 out of 5.
I don’t always eat vegan Mexican food but when I do I’m making my way to Guacamaya. Pretty good food for what it is (plant based). A little pricey but the food has taste and the agua fresca were pretty bomb
