Food is alright but oh my god the customer service??? I just called because they got our takeout order wrong from not even an hour ago, only to have the woman set the phone down and talk smack about me while I could still hear it?? They couldn't find my ticket, when I have them the order, and now we're left with a meal we didn't pay for.
I got the fettuccine, My girl got the spaghetti with grilled chicken, kids order on the kids menu they ordered spaghetti, came with a drink and soup or salad and a small cheese pizza. Every meal comes with super salad. At the end of the meal they give you these desserts on the house very delicious. Fettuccine was all right Pizza was good spaghetti was very good grilled chicken didn't really have flavor. Our waitress was very polite and was on top of everything. I should have got her name to give her props.
The food was excellent the service was perfect I had the best Italian meal in a while..Come down and check this place out...and it was even cheaper..
My wife and I were looking for a different place to eat than our norm. Since we’re both working now, we have more money to do better eats. We were going to go to Golden Corral but if was too busy. Then we searched on Waze for restaurants and found Frantone’s. If was a short hop from Holden Corral and we were first surprised by the decor. Very mid-1960 Italian restaurant with a pizza order/takeout window. Pls of room in the dining area and they have a bar space that wasn’t used (at the time we were there). The space is also big enough for banquet and meeting space. The food itself was excellent. My wife had a individual cheese pizza and I had lasagna. Our starter salad was cold and the dressing was fresh. They did put more dressing than expected but we we’re still happy. The kicker to the meal was the marinara they use for the pizza and lasagna. Not thick tomato paste but firm and holds up well. Not spicy but with a tangy, light tasting Italian flavor. The pizza crust is strong and not crusty and not sugary like Pizza Hut’s is. Cheese was just right and not bulky or oily; lasagna layers were thick and noodle was firm and held together with the riccotta cheese and sausage tasting fresh and succulent. The meal came with LARGE meatballs that were Italian seasoned just right. Wee we’re told the place opened in 1964. It took me all my 50 years to find the BEST local Italian food I’ve had all my life. The prices are on the average restaurant side but you get free drinks with the meals and refills. For dessert we had little Italian pastry with sugar. Very flavorful and sweet without overpowering sweetness. Good good and nice atmosphere and close to the 5 freeway. You can’t beat that
Fun atmosphere. Decent food. Gotten pricier over the years. Pretty good pizza. Love the meatball sub. ??
Not a big fan of the pizza. The pitchers of beer were good.im not sure I'll be back...I'd like the owner to get a bigger tv definitely be more sports related.take some tables down theres nobody sitting in them .put some pool tables.put a bar in the restaurant. Get some music.upgade your pizza.Id be there everyday
My parents used to come to Frantones back in the 60s and have always spike of Frantones..interesting I was born in Pico Rivera and never been here till today, my friend invited me there he remembered that I had told him about frantones and how special I was to see the restaurant, today I had lunch there and I enjoyed it more than anything!!! It was nice to be in the same place where my parents had been years ago thank you Ricky...and Frantones
Food was ok. Inside is dirty and dusty. Big chunks of lint hanging from the vents above tables. Weird system, order food but no drinks at front but do not pay.. server takes your drink order and then she brings you the bill at the end of the meal. The booths were also in need of deep cleaning
You know honestly I can’t complain it’s pretty good solid decent pizza at least it ain’t chain pizza after all life is only once enjoying it you all have a wonderful day Christ if you’re a guy that likes solid food then this place is for you.
First and last time i eat at frantones,i handed my card to pay,the person charged and then thew me back my card.was told it was one of the best pizza,so i did not mind paying the outrage price of $28.The pizza was not all that
