Let's start with "Yuck".... AM/PM bbq sandwich taste better then this place. ... First time ever coming to Dickey's I got the three meat choice. Which the guy taking my order was nice but very not informative. They didn't have ribs... NOW which bbq place you go to and doesn't have ribs?!?... Let go back to the food .. Nothing had flavor .. u literally had to pour over bbq sauce which was not good as well. Mac and cheese was gross and you can taste the artificial flavoring from the chesse. I also tried the taco ... why I don't know wanted to try something different... Never eat a taco at a bbq stand not good. Besides being gross it was expensive $25.84 . I would never come to Dickey's again.
I came Dickey's Barbeque Pit in Apollo Way, at 6:42pm on April 15 2022, and I quickly noticed the uniformity of the staff, they're all wearing sweat or jogger pants and tennis shoes. The employees had different street clothes or lounge wear shirts like "nike, adidas and ralph lauren". They had ear pieces while preparing food, one employee had one latex glove in one hand and none of them weren't wearing hair nets they all had long hair and not tied up. I believe the one of the employee had their families here to eat which is fine, I think it not safe walking by the kitchen wearing crocs looking sandal slip on, I think it's very unprofessional and unsanitary. So now let's talk about the food prices are ridiculous high for a franchise "Dickey's Barbeque Pit" I ordered: "Family Pack" which was the "Picnic Pack" the serving size is for two people it includes: 1lb of meat and 2 sides (16 ounces x 2) and four rolls for $37.95 and the tax is $3.80 totaling a barbeque of $41.75 its expensive for the amount of food that is given without fountain drinks. It's sad were its an expensive pack with no fountain drinks it should include drinks. "I thought its a picnic pack" it should include two drinks with that price and two cookies or dessert and maybe it will become a good deal. I was disappointed of the portion size for two people especially the sides no drink or dessert. I will not come here, this was my first and last time coming to a Dickey's restaurant please represent yourself better. I rather go to Lucille's where the employees are in well uniformed and a professional delightful setting, while the cooks stay and cook, the waiter order the food for us and the runner runs to give us our food. Dickey's has the cook does everything but to be a cashier. Your prices are not reasonable and the food is limited and portions are small. Also, Dickey's mac and cheese 16 oz cup extra side is $7.95 plus tax is ridiculously expensive. I can make Mac n Cheese for the same ingredients for fraction of the price. Lucille's provide better quality overall, I hope Lucilles will forgive me by stepping out of my go to BBQ food but I wanna to experience Dickey's Barbeque ??.
We did not like it. We went at noon. We got our food about 15 mins later. So I thought it would be hot and fresh. But seems like itwas cooked yesterday and just warmed up. The brisket and pulled pork was below room temperature.The rolls were even close to warm.The service was good. But the food was little for price and subpar.I wouldn't recommend.
My gf had a gift card and tried this place for the first time. It was about 5ish for dinner and all they had was pulled pork and chicken left. They also ran out of mac and cheese so we decided to get the pulled pork sandwiches($9 each) which were pretty bland which also came with a pretty basic BBQ sauce on the side. Don't think I'm ever coming back. It was also pretty cold as heck in there when it was like 60 degrees outside. Cashier was cool though.
Food is good; when you can actually get it. Always running out of food..never a real answer as to why. Literally always an issue. I have waited over an hour just to eventually be told “we don’t have it”. Getting very old, and sadly doesn’t seem like I’ll be returning since I have made a formal complaint and still haven’t heard back.
Mac and cheese with spicy BBQ brisket! Meat is delicious and tender...must try

They do a great job with the ribs here. Not too many bbq spots in this part of Downey but they do good with their food. I'd also try the sliced brisket, as that was tasty, also.
Great food not dried out can be a little pricey but we'll worth it .
Had a wonderful experience here yesterday! Kids eat free was welcome surprise. We will definitely be back for the delicious BBQ. I really enjoyed the Brisket chili.
