If I could give no star I willToday is Mothers Day Weekend SaturdayVery Poor Service d using my CC after the receipt is given back toe my cc is no where to be found. After a few mins.the server came to place the card on the table never handed to me. I DID ASK HER WHAT HAPPENED toy card .No response She just turned her back on us with no apology.I am.not coming back her to here .Mrs Koshu was not there too.wondering why.I just read in this review that this place was sold recently. That's explained Poor managementPoor ServiceI.
Apparently the business got sold recently and with that the quality has changed also. Previously I rated this restaurant with 5 stars, after my last visit it became clear that the restaurant is only 1 star now and has lost many of its customers. (As well as myself) I was told by the servers, which have been there for years that now 50 percent of the food is frozen now. As before everything was fresh. The food is substandard now and the taste is very disappointing. The new owner has changed the menu and everything we ordered was terrible. I do not recommend this restaurant anymore. So sorry. Now I must find another to take the place of my favorite Sushi restaurant.
We have been going to Koshu for a couple of years and were always pleased. Today was not the same. We ordered takeout, but they didn’t provide wasabi or ginger. The portions looked great but were mostly rice. My spider roll was not drained so I got bursts of cold water. Something is wrong! Not going back!!
This was my favorite local sashimi place for the past few months (visited every weekend), but when I visited recently, it seems like something is different. Did they get a new owner? New chefs? The menu itself looked a bit different? The variety of sashimi in the Deluxe Chirashi bowl were significantly reduced. The fish cut shape looked different. The amount of fish was reduced. The amount of rice increased The prices were different. The freshness was still very nice though. Personally, I don’t care too much of the price increase as long as I’m getting the same variety and freshness.
Fresh food not once is bad very consistent ....try kamis sushi for a little thinking new place is interesting but it didn't last soon after waiting from 30mins to 2 and half wait for your food plus the soup taste like dish water ....so I go back to my old place which is more reliable.
Husband said he hasn’t had anything that delicious in a long time! He had the chicken katsu don, mom loved her Koshu bento, and the kids loved the sushi. Yummm
It was my first time but won't be the last
I called in my order, came later than they recommended and my order was still not ready. I had to wait an extra 15min (40min in all) and was ready to shred this place... then I got the food and all was forgiven. The fish was very fresh and the cuts were all high quality. The rolls were also beautifully assembled. Their kappa maki is by far the best I've ever had. In the end it was well worth the wait; I'll plan better next time. To be fair, it was during the lunch rush and what took so long was the chawanmushi (made fresh).
Food is good but too pricey for the setting and location
