Both the beef and the short ribs were so tough I couldn’t chew them. When I pay 15 or $16 for a meal that claims to be barbecue I anticipate that the meat will at least be tender. Very disappointed. I will not go back.
Nice food with fairly quick service. Good outdoor seating and limited indoor seating, but popularity is greater than seating capacity.Very meat forward dishes, with heavy helpings of white rice. The bowls have a better mix of vegetables, but still very lopsided nutritionally.
I went for a late lunch. It was busy and that was okay. I ordered the short ribs and there was a bit of a wait and no seating for dining in as it was busy. The beef was good but the rice was a little more dry than normal and the macaroni salad was okay. I'll give another shot sometime when they're no so busy and maybe the overall experience will improve.
While most everything on the menu is delicious I recommend the combo plate. It has a little bit of everything they have to offer and all of it is delicious. The sauce is also amazing.
Great fish and panko shrimp tacos. Tasty sauce, fresh shredded iceberg and dice tomatoes.Also spam musubi!Good fries.So happy we ate here.
The short ribs and macaroni salad were good. The barbecued pork was amazing. I wanted to keep taking it from my wife's plate.
Got the bbq beef plate with rice and macaroni salad and it was very good! The three combo pieces of the seaweed wrapped chicken, spam and pork was beyond delicious. Best hawiian bbq food I have had. My husband thought equally of the meal and has had authentic food before. Also the outside seating was nice and relaxing and quiet. Great lunch spot !
This place is definitely good! I came based on the reviews.I ordered the bbq mix plate with my bf.We both loved it :) Great staff and I’m so glad I decided to stop by! It was the perfect balance of sweet and salty.-What my bf said and he rarely gives reviews!
Some of the best I’ve had off the islands. Not chewy and all fat. They have lots of styles of Musubi. Love the seating outside makes you feel almost like being somewhere else. After having them it’s hard to go to my local spot.
Very good . Tastes fresh. Tad salty at times for the short rib but good
