Highly recommend reservations and reading all small print.I found this place online because I was looking for high tea.It was tucked behind buildings with a great outdoor dining area. It was a tad chilly but there were heaters. We tried getting one tea but you have to call 24hrs in advance which we missed somehow. We enjoyed our tea and service was great. They did mess up on all vegetarian sandwiches.Plus was there are vegan options.Staff was very friendly and the petite fours were the stars!

loved the service! Our server Amelia was the best! Will be going back just for her. She is what made the trip worth it. Super sweet and was running the show! Loved her :) tea and food wasn’t bad either. Thanks Amelia for such a great afternoon!

My British mother not only approves, she thought it was "absolutely lovely"! This delicious tea service is the real deal, complete with scones, Devonshire Cream and great tea choices! We can't wait to go back!

Great owner, haughty servers. When the owner is there, there is a level of respect, when the owner is absent, some of the ladies in command are rude, haughty and unprofessional. After the mask mandate, people can sit maskless and eat / drink next to the register but God Forbid if you order maskless (same exact space, this is late Feb 2022).They are always ‘booked’ and never have ‘enough sandwiches or desserts’ for purchasing. Ruined my joyful day.

My experience here was horrible. We had a party of 12. We had literally had 2 hours to drink our tea and eat our so called snacks. Instead of waiting for all guest to arrive and bring out their package. They apparently combined everything in 3 tiers which did not look correct. My party of 5 who arrive a little late due to traffic and parking because of an event happening in the area same day. After confronting staff member, we were told everything was combined. I literally paid $50 for 2 cups of tea and half a sandwich. They should had provided for guest who was there with their package. . It does say per person. Smh. How can they bring everything out when all guest has not arrived. When our time was closing in, we were taking pictures. They came and started removing everything. I had to ask for togo cups for my tea which they were taking back. Wayyyy over priced for 2 cups of tea..and with limited time. Definitely not worth it!!!

I have to start by saying I really enjoyed my time here. It's very relaxing to slow down and sit on their patio, drinking some tea and enjoying some treats. I would definitely come back here. But, I must disagree with many of the reviewers' gushing praise. The cute tea cups and fancy china give an upscale vibe, but the high-tea experience is undercut by some curious cutting of corners, for example, plastic silverware, paper napkins, saltine crackers with the cheese board, and the like. The food is alright, but only passably on theme (mushroom empanadas with tea?) and there's ample room for improvement in quality (cheeses were excellent, scones were well flavored; but stale sandwich bread, soggy puff pastry, tasteless out-of-season fruit, etc.). The tea is very clearly high quality, but they portion you too small an amount so it brews up weak. Service is friendly and warm, but lackluster overall.Truly, it's a nice and relaxing place to spend a few hours. I'd come back whenever I want to take a load off in Davis. But I wouldn't have my expectations set quite so high next time.

This place is such a gem for tea and high tea lovers. They have an incredible tea selection, take the time to brew each tea to perfection and their high tea menu is scrumptious! The shop itself is tucked away down a cute alley and has a lovely outdoor patio with heaters and tables spaced far enough to feel safe in this covid era. We've stopped in here a couple of times when their kitchen was closed (ended up getting petite fours and tea to go) so if you want to do high tea, I'd recommend calling ahead for a reservation.

We decided to do a girls day with high tea and a visit to the Crocker Art Museum. We had such a wonderful experience! There were four of us and two tiers of yummy finger food were provided, along with a scone for each person, and our individual choice of tea. We all loved our choices, which included the Lavender Butterfly, Bourbon Vanilla, and Casablanca teas. Both the savory and sweet food items were impressively delicious. The shop itself is rather small, but it’s lovely and quaint. We were originally only interested in the indoor service, but upon arriving, we did notice how cute their patio is as well, so we’ll definitely consider it in the future. Our servers were kind and attentive. Overall, we were all extremely satisfied and will definitely be back! It was such a fun addition to our day.

Photos are from last week to over two and three years ago. You can see how the portions have changed. So has the service. I can’t express how sad I am about this. I want to support a small business but this was so bad.I wanted to treat family to a nice tea place. We barely had service, the table I confirmed was not available despite there being only one other party there. A fly flew into our honey and when I subtly asked for a replacement, the owner came back to show me the fly was still moving so it was not her fault. I should have asked how much the take away chicken salad sandwiches were because they were $6 for each slider sized portion. So for about $200, including the tip and 4oz of tea, it was so not worth it. The best part was the bill being presented, with the face up, to the wrong person. We had one queen, a high and a lower service. I’m glad I changed it from 3 queens tea.The second photo was two queen and the last is three queen. The picture does that one no justice.

Can we talk about how wonderful Tea List is?! My husband and I visited a couple days ago and got the Queen's Tea package ($49.95 per person). I made reservations ahead of time and confirmed the day before our reservation which tea package we wanted. I also appreciate that they asked if there are any allergy accommodations e.g. dairy free substitutes. Just a heads up: Queen's Tea has to be reserved 24 hours in advance. When we arrived, our table was already ready for us. The staff were so sweet and attentive. Since we got the Queen's Tea, we got to choose our teas with the option of changing it out 2 more times with a different tea. We tried the Buckingham Palace Garden Party tea and then I later tried the Long Island Strawberry Green Tea while my husband later got the Organic Mango Mango. All of the teas were delicious, but we agreed the Buckingham Palace was our favorite. The package also included a large assortment of tea sandwiches and cakes. We were surprised by how full we were by the end of tea time and had to take the cakes home! We'll definitely be back here again.
