4/15/22 Friday Very good location, open very late night, always big line mostly Davis students. Food quality is great specially chicken was very tender with delicious sause.
So I finally gave "Canes" a try and must say I was very pleased. Sat in restaurant on a Saturday afternoon, packed line to order, packed house, but restaurant was clean, staff was courteous and polite. The menu is simple but with good choices if you are wanting chicken tenders / fingers. We had three options, a 4 piece combo, 3 piece and a kids meal. All were cooked well, not along wait at all considering the volume we were seeing. Chicken tenders were very tasty, sauce was very good and went well with the chicken, and served with crinkle cut fries and a piece of Texas toast, and ordered house lemonade, which was delicious. Food was of good quality, and the price was right as well All in all had a great expierience and if your eye happens to catch a "Raising cane" and you are hungry for chicken, I'd definitely say give it a try. Until next time bon appetit......
Hands down the best chicken on the planet! I went out of my way to get here, and will do so again.
Came here at 6pm on a Saturday night. There was a long line but the wait was only about 15 minutes in line and another 15 minutes wait for the food. For about $10, there was SO much food so it is pretty value. The chicken was hot, crispy, and moist. The crinkle cut fries were crispy which is rare in other restaurants. I really liked the slaw as well because it was not so heavy on the mayo. They pride themselves on the sauce but I feel like they give so little so I had to order more sauce for extra 39 cents. I wish they gave the sauce away for free since they pride themselves in it. To describe the sauce, it's a very vinegary and super black peppery thousand island sauce. It was pretty good except I'm not a huge black pepper lover which is just me. I would definitely come here again for a snack once the hype goes down.
The wait time wasn't bad. There's no drive thru. The food is delicious. Great atmosphere.
Excellent food…!!! The chicken’s fingers are delicious
Something new to me. This in Davis CA. Chicken is tender, tasty but not overwhelming. I like the few items to choose as this doesn't make me overwhelmed by too many things to choose. The food is very good. I also learned why it was named Raising Cane. I will go back again with my family.
Amazing location just like the one I love in Louisiana. There is no drive-thru because theres nowhere to put one LOL.They have a parking lot across the street. The staff rock the community rock this location rocks. I didn't take alot of photos because it was PACKED.
I was excited to see the possibilities that this might have had given all of the people wait in line to eat this fried chicken.First off: everything felt like it just got defrosted and warmed up in a microwave. The fires were wet, cold and was without season. The chicken was just that and nothing more to write home about other than that you can tell the middle of bigger ones that it was definitely frozen a few moments ago. The slaw was wet, wilted, and flavorless. The only saving grace was that the toast wasn't burnt or stale.Don't waste your time or money. Go to any of the other great spots available to you in Davis.
I love Raising Canes. This one did not disappoint. Juicy tenders and crispy fries. It was kind of busy but the service was still fast and good.
