Loved this place. Big portions. The pad Thai comes with a tangy jalapeno sauce. The lettuce wraps are served in a deconstructive fashion so I was able to store it in my fridge for next day lunch without the lettuce getting wilted from the delicious chicken and plum sauce served with it. The Coconut rice was cooked perfectly fluffy although I couldn't really detect a coconut flavor. The crunchy nutty salad was excellent. Every bite unloaded a crunchy, fresh taste with a wonderful Asian dressing. Now I am not an eggplant lover but I must say, the chef has inflicted a new appreciation in my taste buds for eggplant. It has a savory tomato garlic sauce that I could not get enough of. This food will pair well with a Sauvignon blanc or asian beer. Although the inside atmosphere is too loud for quaint conversation, I will return to this place because the chefs know what they are doing and do it well.
My first experience with Burmese cuisine was very positive. Two of my friends and I met there for lunch. Our server "Isabella" was helpful and very attentive. We had Garlic Noodles with BBQ Pork, Sesame Beef, and Rainbow Salad that was tossed tableside. We ate the entrees "family style" so I got to eat some of everything. I will be back and bring others with me.
The tea leaf salad was exceptional. We got it to-go and I was impressed with how well it was packaged-- all the ingredients packed separately to ensure freshness. Definitely not the same as having it prepared in front of you (not sure if they do this, but I've seen it at other Burmese restaurants), but delicious all the same.
This is a great place to get Burmese/Asian fusion meals. Been here a couple of time, both dine in and take out, and the food was great. Lots of choices on the menu makes it easy to find something fun.Be sure to check the appetizer menu . There are a number of delicious options there. They have both an indoor area and an outdoor patio. Both are perfect for enjoying lunch or dinner.
Quite good. We had papaya salad, beef curry, eggplant, mint chicken and a shrimp noodle entree and were pleased with all. The curry seemed more like a stew, but maybe that's intentional. The service was good, but had to wait for water refills sometimes. This becomes more important when eating spicy food
We stopped at this restaurant in Davis ca ,for Lunch on our way back to San Francisco from Redding CA. This restaurant was formerly known as Burma Eats but has now been rebranded as My Burma. A great place to eat good quality authentic Burmese food. The service was good and it’s very child friendly. Their starters were super tasty, especially the Prata plate. Their curries, the samosa soup are noteworthy. We had a really good satisfying meal. A must visit place.
The food is always nicely cooked and absolutely delicious but I must warn to check your food if you're taking out. I ordered the Eggplant with Garlic Sauce and paid extra for Tofu which was not in the dish when I got home. That was my mistake for not checking. I generally order from here when I'm in the area... I live 30 minutes away so going back for a correction wouldn't be worth it.
Overall, food was good and service was fast and friendly. Cocktails were pretty strong for a “fruity drink”.
Decent food, but a bit pricey.Ordered 2 appetizers:Salt and Pepper Calamari - Came with sweet/sour sauce or veggie sauce. Was alright and satisfied my calamari craving. They were in square pieces (no legs). I think there could have been more salt and pepper.Fried Chicken - fairly sized and my friends said it was yummy :) also came with either of the 2 aforementioned saucesFor the main dishes:Lamb Curry with Potatoes - tasted better the day after. Lamb is a little dry, but they give you a lot! The dish doesn't come with rice, so you have to order it as a side (~2.9 for coconut rice, $2 for jasmine, $2.5 for basmati). I wish the dish came with the rice.Pad Thai with Chicken - too sweet for meServers were very busy, so service was a little bit slower but they are nice and detail-focused!
Super friendly service, tasty food, great about accommodating special requests, and the outdoor seating area has a great view. I really enjoyed my eggplant dish, and a while back I remember the tea leaf salad was amazing. Also, clean bathrooms.
