Being told to throw away my coffee cup (that I earlier purchased at Starbucks) if I wanted to stay was quite unexpected. This definitely did not represent the small friendly atmosphere that this place advertises. I was in line to purchase coffee and desert from here when it happened. My first time here, and I’m not going to be coming here again.

The coffee was great but the wifi is terrible. Can't work here!

Great place, small store, but obviously well loved--if the friendly crowd is any sign.A great vibe, a better pastry selection than the coffee chain across the street, and, most importantly, an incredibly large selection of teas, a reasonable number of expresso drinks (for a tea shop), and a nice variety of mocha and tea lattes.

disappointed to know about how the owner treats employees! according to Mishka's website, Mishka's is a "friendly meeting place akin to the old European cafes" but I disagree. A friendly environment starts with treating your workers with basic respect, not sending them abusive messages. I'll make sure everyone knows to not go here unless the owner changes and apologizes for behavior.

the drinks here are great, but the wifi is awful. I can never connect to the internet and it consistently crashes and disconnects. As much as I love the atmosphere, food and drinks, I never reach for Mishkas because of their inconsistency.

I love Mishkas. It’s the absolutely only coffee place I go to in Davis.I always get the Rose latte with almond milk because I’m intolerant of milk. Not a fan of the turmeric coffee but I don’t complain about it because, guess what? I just never ordered that again.Anyways, this is a reminder to always be kind to the baristas. How would you like it if someone showed up to your place of work and berated you.Cheers!

jazzy atmosphere, kind staff, amazing coffee, a great variety of tea blends to choose from, quality merchandise and friendly staff. their bathroom is very cool and it’s pretty neat how they have a bike hanging on the ceiling. this is a great place to meet up with a friend you haven’t seen for a while, organize a chess club, or just study alone. their outdoor seating area is very versatile as well. another thing i love about this place is the fact that they shed light on local artists.

A great local coffee shop with church pew seating indoors as well as tables outside, Mishka's offers up exactly what coffee shop enthusiasts need: a delightful atmosphere to drink a finely curated and brewed coffee or tea, gentle jams playing overhead, and a welcoming vibe. The wifi can be a little weak if you don't have a top notch computer (and many of the students in town do), so for someone like myself who travels with a low-powered Chromebook most of the time, it's difficult to bully your way into the bandwidth (I end up using my phone as a hotspot instead), but if you're there to read or meet with others for a chat, you couldn't ask for a better place. The Chai is great. The coffee is as well. The entire place smells of roasted coffee beans. It's quickly becoming a favorite spot of mine, and it will treat you well also.

I am a bit disgruntled with this place. I work remote sometimes and went to this location on my lunch break during a short walk. One person in line in front of me. I asked what flavors I could get in my iced coffee and he suggested a latte and showed some flavors so I asked for the white chocolate. I waited for a good ten plus minutes after the person in front of me got her drink. My 16 oz latte was over $5 and I tipped 15%. I saw the lady making the drink verrryyy slowly and kept stopping to talk to her coworker. I went up to the purchase station saying I needed to leave (time limit) and they said it was coming up. Then I got handed a hot coffee. I said I ordered Iced. The lady said in a rude manner that she can make it iced. When she brought it back over it was in a much smaller cup and she said nothing while sitting it on the counter and then walked away. Probably will not come here again.

Terrible service. The person at the register stacked several stacks of glass before acknowledging our presence. Only when her task was completely done she made a feeble attempt at service.
