The food was great! Seating is very cool. I love the indoor swing. However, this place is not good if you have poor vision. The menu boards are far away and lit strangely, and the print menu was incredibly small. Having a large-print menu for low vision people so that we don't have to rely on our phone magnifiers would make a big difference
College town: Check. What is there to not love about Lazi Cow? The place is usually open late and offers you savory and sweet dishes. Not hungry? No problem, the menu is sure to have something for you like boba or tea perhaps.Free wifi: Check.Looking to change your routine from studying at one of the many coffee shops or on campus? You are more than welcome to park your bike on the street and come on in. While you're at it, why don't you enjoy a little snack? You know, to ease the difficulty of studying.Instagram worthy photos: Check. Not only will you want to snap a few photos of your food, but that board game you & your friend are playing to pass the time. OR. Hear me out, what about that huge cow on the wall? You know what I am talking about. Need I say more? Try the swing.Enjoy.
I don't usually write bad review and in fact I loved this place before. I ordered a earl grey green tea with boba. They asked green tea? I confirmed yes green tea. Then I got a milk tea. I asked why and they said the early grey is made with powder so they can't do it without milk. They could have told me before making it. I'd have ordered something else. Also they don't have wifi anymore. The current wifi is only for employees so customers can flow faster. Still love the bottle but the experience is poorer now.
The rolled ice cream was really good! But, their drinks are just okay, I think there are better places for boba.
The glass jars look great and reduce waste. The black milk tea didn't have enough tea flavor and tasted bland, kind of like milk water. The uwu fruit tea is really good
Thanks to the packaging (no to go bag) and the fact that they filled our fries so full that I couldn't close the box, our fries ended up on the floor of our car. That's $5 wasted of my hard earned money. I don't think there was any thought process when packaging was decided. Also disappointed that they were rude when they made my mom's drink as a slush and not the smoothie that she order. A woman behind the counter rudely asked "now what is wrong with that drink" to the guy that was helping my mom when she took it back in. I now am even more disappointed that my drink as I got to the bottom sits here frozen as ice including my boba with zero flavor because my smoothie was made as a slush but was better blended than my mom's slushed "smoothie" while her remade smoothie is creamy and full of flavor still. I would have had mine remade too if I'd known. I'm so disappointed because I loved them the first time I found them and had them 2 weeks ago. The white ice is my drink and the pink is my mom's drink, major difference.
I got a milkshake and my daughter got rolled ice cream. Very unique and fun place. We sat on the COW- ch while we ate and I got to keep my lazi cow glass!
Excuse the bad plating, I got a tonkatsu ramen to go nothing extra added and the portions are generous. My bowl could barley hold most of it there was still lots of broth and noodles I left out for seconds. Overall the best ramen I've had in Davis. My only complaint is the thick noodles I'm not a fan of thick noodles but the broth was so good. The broth is thick and rich, the pork was thin in a nice way where it's just thick enough, the egg was brown so it's marinated٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ Their menu is large and usually that means mmmm they can't be doing all of that right. But I got the tator tots and those were nice and crispy and I got a cowfee which was also so nice and thick because they mix in ice cream.Ramen is meant to be dined in not to go so I didn't expect to judge it solely on this delivery but I really enjoyed it. It's been the first off campus food experience I enjoyed immediately at Davis. 10/10 recommend to try it out.As good as Davis food gets (๑·̀ㅂ·́)و✧,mid in LA (ノ´∀`*).
Although their drinks are not what they used to be (don't care for the taste anymore) they still have the glass bottles. That is the main reason i went in there as I have a number of their design and wanted another one. Thing is that the new caps have a hole in them that fits the straw. This is good and dandy if all you drink out of them is boba (big straw) but I mainly use them for water and even though the hole has a cap, it's just not the same...
My gf put me on. I'ma keep it real, this was fire. The Sunday Morning is a really nice drink, the tonkatsu ramen is hella good, that's all I can really say, it took about 30 mins to get 2 ramens and 3 drinks while the place was super busy. def a 5 star, but they forgot my popcorn chicken.???
