This restaurant has robot runners that assist the servers in delivering the food. The food is very fresh and exquisite. Fresh salads and four different homemade salad dressings to choose from.
The serving robot was fun and the apatizers were good. We also ordered Cod which was disappointing. But I will go back there for more traditional sushi and sashimi
I’ve been here two times in the past 4 days. Sashimi is fresh and the way it’s plated is a work of art. Huku has not disappointed me yet.
Have tried Huku several times over many years as we pass through Davis.Always enjoyable, but they seem to have stepped up their game.It's now superb.Excellent dishes, rolls, sushi, staff, and pleasant environment.Worth going out of your way if you're in the mood for Japanese.On par with anything in the Bay Area, and fat better than most.
We stumbled onto this wonderful sushi restaurant since we came here to eat at the Taqueria Guadalajara Grill right next door, but it was closed that day due to maintenance.We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fish, the generous portions, the friendly staff and how delicious everything we tried was. They also have this new way cool robot assistants server that follows the servers to deliver your food table side.We definitely will be back and this is now our new Davis favorite!!!
One of the few redeeming qualities of living in Davis. Sushi is always excellent here. Service is nice as well. Hot food is meh so I just don't order it?
We went there for a family birthday dinner. The sushi was really good. We had excellent saba, hamachi, and 4 rolls. The server was also very good and I love that they take reservations. They have a fun robot that also assists the server. The downside is that they have a big takeout business that takes precedent over the dining customers. It took 45 minutes to get our sushi and we had to go ask for drinks. The wine pour was also about a 4 oz pour for 12.00 glass of six dollar a bottle wine. All that aside I would still go here over any of the downtown Davis sushi places from here in out. The sushi was superior.
Huku provides the freshest and most appetizing array of fresh sushi. They have a team of guys behind the sushi bar that never fail to greet you when you arrive, even if it's just for a takeout order. Their food is delicious, clean, fresh, never over or under-seasoned, and always delivered by professional waitstaff with impeccable manners. The pricing is steep, but to get the freshest seafood in a supply chain burdened by pandemic challenges, they never disappoint. I recommend the Brenda roll, bento boxes, and California rolls for those not interested in the recently swimming. I must confess I've only had the Ahi from the most recently caught menu but I found the searing to be almost surgical in it's precision, and the insides were exquisitely mouthwatering. This is the ONLY sushi place in Davis worth visiting.
Got teriyaki chicken for lunch. great flavor and portion size. love that it came with a side salad and steamed veggies too!
Best Japanese food in Davis! Fresh, tasty, creative. I love the staff too! This is the place for business lunch/meeting and family gathering.
