What happened to this place? Used to be so good! The food never used to be flavorless and customer service is EH. The calamari was so bland. The sui mai was clearly microwaved! The dumplings were ok but the broth was very bland. Disappointed.

Friendly young man (college age) greeted me and answered my menu questions politely. My order of the most popular duming, pork and chive, and fried calamari came out quick, hot and flavorful.

Fast paced restaurant. The pork and chives pot stickers were really good. Server was really nice and friendly.

This place I have to say hands down was the best customer service I have dealt with in such a long time. We had an issue with our order. Our order was a huge order for a family of 7. When I called them they immediately knew we were missing items and were so apologetic. I was not mad at all and honestly they were the sweetest people ever. We ordered during their busiest time in the evening and I mean we are all human it is bound to happen, especially with a huge order like ours. I just wanted to come on here an say thank you for being so sweet and polite and making it right. Btw the food was super delicious! I will definitely be returning!

Welcome back Dumpling House!!! This place was my favorite off campus lunch when I went to Davis. Affordable prices, dumplings were amazing and fresh, generous portions and really kind staff. Give them a try uf you are in the area! Now that I know they've reopened I'm going to have to make a trip to Davis :]

Extremely good food. Fast and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Used to be my favorite place in Davis, I ate here often when I was working for the university. Was eagerly awaiting their reopening and excited to support them again... but It's just not as good. Still probably a decent deal if you're craving dumplings. The pros:1. The veggies dishes are cooked to a perfect done-ness, and very flavorful.2. The people who work there are very nice and I like supporting them3. The dumplings are handmade! The cons.1. Prices have gone up - totally fine as this is how it is everywhere now, but the quality of the food has not remained the same.2. The dumplings have more dough in them, taking away from the enjoyment of the filling.3. The "popcorn chicken" (used to be "5-spice breaded chicken") is now a greasy pile of unknown chicken parts with too little salt.4. The broccoli side used to be beautiful Chinese (the elongated ones) tossed with fresh garlic, but now seems to be just a couple spoonfuls of pre-minced garlic thrown onto blanched broccoli.Probably the worst part... when I got my food last night, my friend and I walked a block away to eat and we unboxed everything, the dumplings were lukewarm. The other dishes (popcorn chicken and broccoli) were still very hot. I don't know if this is because they were sitting out for a while, but lukewarm pork dumplings made us really uneasy and we waited to eat them until we got them home and cooked them in the pan to appropriate temp.Probably not going back, sadly. Sorry Dumpling House, maybe I'm just too picky as I have aged.

Got the pork chives dumplings - the dumplings are definitely better than frozen, but not as exceptional as housemade/homemade (shout-out to mom for making the best dumplings) but the sauce here is really really good, worth stocking up on that ?unfortunately we were shorted one dumpling (11/12) but didn't realize until we started eating, just double check on that before you take your order home!

Great little place owned by locals. The dumplings are very hearty and large.

The Dumpling House of Davis is a great place to gather together with friends.Their crisp and flavorful pot stickers are great! The dumpings are nice in a broth, but lacking by themselves.Broccoli is included with many dishes, and is wonderfully blanched without over or undercooking, and includes deliciously heavy helpings of garlic. Was disappointed when ordering for a group that everything came in to-go containers, which made sharing items difficult, especially without individual plates to dish food on
