A customer from the very first day of Dos, burritos are the best. Add a few selections from the Salsa bar to make your burrito a real treat. Prices are moderate, can be busy around dinner. Outdoor seating is available at both Davis locations, great for warm Summer meal.
Be prepared for white-washed, unsalted Mexican food. If you walk by their store it's always just white people eating there... for a reason. Their salsa at their bar is decent but the food needs lots of work. I got fish tacos with mango salsa. Terribly sweet, fish was like it had been steamed with water, tortillas were nothing to write home about and the sides were bland. Tried my roommate's order and it was just as bland. If you are craving Mexican or Mexican fusion I would not recommend this place at all.
Really disappointing meal. My burrito was filled with so much beans, rice, and sour cream there was barely any steak. How am I paying over $13 for a steak burrito with such little steak?
Best Paella burrito and sweet corn quesadilla. After all these years, this place is still operating at great level. Good service.
The last three times I placed an online order my order was either never made or completely incorrect. The first two times I blew it off and figured they were just busy but the third time I was super frustrated and called to make a complaint. I spoke with the manager and told her our order was made an hour before I got there and was never even put in so I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. And the items were incorrect. The manager just said “yeah the online orders aren’t our priority so maybe next time just try calling”. That was her solution. She just kept making excuses for the items always being wrong or never made. Horrible service. We use to love with place and ordered here often but not anymore.
Fast service! We dined in, and our food came quickly. The only complaint is for the chicken salad they put way to many red onions. Good place to come, family environment.
One of the nicer Mexican places in Davis
Hadn't gone there since pre Covid and went out of a whim thinking it had gotten better but once again i was disappointed needless to say the back area and kitchen is always dirty and in a disarray. I didn't eat what I bought with fear of getting food poisoning this establishment should be more aware of how clean they keep their cooking area or food prepping area, will not go back at all
Great salads and lunch plates. They have a salsa bar with lots of choices. I like their daily specials.
