Love their flavors. Constantly rotating. I think they make all their own ice cream. Good mix of common as well as eclectic flavors. They can turn any couple flavors into a milkshake. I recommend you try one of those.Great outdoor seating area. Parking is a pain though since it's downtown.
Came in here on a 100+ degree day so they were busy. The line was long which was to be expected. While waiting for my turn I noticed a few things. First and foremost the girls working behind the counter had amazing patience. Watching them deal with a difficult customer who didn't remember the taste of an ice cream they just sampled was amusing to say the least, but they remained professional and kept calm even as the line continued to build up. Second was I can see why they have a 2 samples only policy and I'll leave it at that.When it was our turn we were greeted with a smile and good energy as if all that just transpired before us didn't happen at all, kudos to them. Ended up getting the Ube flavored ice cream which was awesome. It has a strong ube flavor which we really enjoyed. Overall the ice cream was fantastic and the staff and the service they provided was top tier.
Responding to the owner: I greatly appreciate your response and was hoping for that outcome. Monday July fourth around 5:30.Great ice cream. Quaint location and decor. One staff member however needs to learn customer service skills. Came in with my children, was reading the options to one child while the older one ordered. As I'm actively reading the options outloud to my child, the female employee repeatedly asked "anything else", after asking her to hang on a moment, she continued to ask "anything else". Don't rush your customers. Read the room. I know you want to get back to your personal conversation but don't rush me out. There was no one behind us. It was rude and unwelcoming. Don't you remember the nostalgia of being a child and looking at all the options before making your decision. Fully grown adult trying to rush a child really. We won't be stopping there on our road trips anymore.
Great icecream shop at Davis downtown, very convenient location! We tried Coffee Oreo and Ube, both are delicious!
Their avocado ice cream is some of the best I've ever had. It's not too creamy but it's not too sweet either. I really enjoy the vibe of this place too because it feels local. I love walking here and just seeing all my fellow college students enjoying a nice school of ice cream.
The ice cream and hot fudge were exceptional. The line went just past the door but they had me served in 10 minutes. No indoor seating which was fine by me. No social distancing in the line which concerned me but after walking around downtown Davis a bit, it appeared that none of the restaurants did. I will return but after Covid numbers go back down again.
It's appropriate that "Creamery" is part of their name, because everything they make is supremely creamy! Even their vegan options are delicious. I've worked with Davis Creamery several times on weddings, and the guests are always delighted to see an ice cream bar. Davis Creamery can do cones, cups, sundae bars with all the toppings - pretty much whatever you need. Their set-up is cute without taking up too much space. Plus, if your venue has a freezer, they'll stash any leftover ice cream tubs in there for you to take home at the end of the night. Highly recommend them for weddings and events!
A scoop costs $3.50 (on a cup or cone) but the friendly staff really maximize cone space - the amount and taste is quite worth the price. From their wide selection of flavors of the day (I was super tempted by cookie butter), I settled on the avocado coconut with a sugar cone. It was a delightful, refreshing scoop of pure joy that truly lives up to their name of "creamery" with how rich and creamy it tasted. Outdoor seating is available and this was a popular spot for ice cream over the weekend with families enjoying their scoop at the provided tables. Will definitely be back to try out more flavors and cool down during hot days!
Great selection of well thought out flavors! The dirty Chai was great but the best part was the extra crunchy waffle cones!
Davis creamery has been my and my husband's favorite ice cream place ever since we met in college 10 years ago. We booked them to cater for our wedding and it was an amazing experience. We are so happy they were able to accommodate us since their ice cream was a date "staple" for years of our lives.
