Perfect place to enjoy a hearty breakfast or lunch. I love this place when the weather is nice, although they have plenty of heaters to keep you warm.The food selection is excellent. The only reason for 4 ⭐️ is the lines to get your food.They do however do an amazing job to get you in and out.
Nice little place with indoor and outdoor seating. You have to order at the register first and then you wait for your food at a table. We only tried the coffee and carrot cake but will be back to try more menu items as everyone else's food looked really good! ??

Nice diverse and very reasonably priced menu. The order first and then you sit down. I wasn't positive how the tipping went but we tipped anyway. Really the food server just brings you the food and you and I. Indoor and outdoor dining. Beautiful downtown Danville although it's not on the main strip. Highly recommended!
It's been a couple of years since I've been back to Sideboard, prior to the pandemic. Showed up for lunch and there were only two small groups in front of us. We ordered the following...The steak sandwich with chimichurri. I think they changed the preparation, as it had more of a creamy chimichurri sauce versus the plain chimichurri. It also seemed to have shrank in size. Overall, the flavor was okay, but I was expecting what I remembered in the past. 4/5We also had a half bucket of chicken, and that was pretty good. It had a nice crunch on the batter, but it felt like it was lacking something in the seasoning. The chicken came out piping hot and it was juicy. 4/5French fries, you can't really mess up fries! 5/5Butterscotch pudding with whipped cream on top! So tasty! 5/5Giant chocolate cookie macaron... The interior courtyard has lots of seating with heat lamps for cold days and blankets you can borrow. There is plenty of shade in summer. Some tables inside, but more seating outside. 2 clean single bathrooms.The eclectic collection of furniture and utensils make the ambiance extra quaint. Large portions. A vegan bowl for non meat eaters. Excellent drink choices. Desserts. Cakes. Breakfast and brunch options are excellent. Friendly staff. Parking is best a block or so away or street parking right around can be hard. Not cheap but similar to other non chain local places. Highly recommend this Danville location.
We were just there for our weekly coffee meet with friends. Our coffee was at room temperature and when we asked about it, we were told that their cappuccinos do come at that temperature and we should have asked for “extra hot” if we wanted hot coffee. The manager was extremely rude and curt and told us that we should drink it as soon as I came. He was chatting happily to people around us. Can’t help but wonder if our race had anything to do with it??? This used to be our favorite place for coffee. Not anymore.
This is hands down my favorite place to get breakfast in Danville!Especially happy that you are now seated after you order, as I had many an altercation coming here and having to chase down a table
Favorite place for brunch and great coffee! You won't be disappointed. Outside seating has heaters which keeps you warm on the outside and the amazing food keeps you warm on the inside.
