Same owner, new name. It's now Mandarin Paradise.
We usually eat Chinese food in Oakland Chinatown. If we don't want to drive far, we eat at China Paradise. It's one of the 2 best Chinese restaurants in our neighborhood. Last night did not disappoint. The calamari was crispy and flavorful. The beef was tender and well seasoned. The portions were large. My son noted that one dish was twice the size we get at other restaurants. Delicious and filling!
Their open hours say that they will close at 2:30pm, but they denied us service at 2:10pm because the kitchen closes at 2:15pm. So, if you want to be treated that bad, consider going to China Paradise.
The Deluxe Mixed Vegetables with Prawns, Curry with Chicken, and Mongolian Beef all taste great and are very reasonable priced as lunch specials, given the large portion sizes and the soup of the day included (even with carry-out orders). My only minor complaint is that the free fried rice, in the lunch specials, is pretty boring.
Super friendly service, big portions, and food is uncommonly delicious and fresh. Go here for your Chinese food fix.
Get the War Wan Ton soup. Exceptional!

I regularly stop grabbing some food in this place. I liked the swift customer service and well made dishes. They never disappoint.
