The Brig has been one of our favorite places to eat for a long time. If you haven't tried their eggs Benedict you ate missing out on a real treat. Long live the Brig!!
Best French fries ever. BLTA was really generous with bacon and avocado. Half pound hamburger for patty melt.
My wife and I came here for lunch. We were greeted by a very friendly server who showed us to our table and gave us very good service. However, the rest of our experience was not good at all. The decor is very tired. The lamp shades and sconces looked old and not very clean. I noticed one lamp over a table that needed a new bulb. There are glass partitions between the booths that have stickers on them saying, "Don't Touch". I'm not sure why. Maybe it's to save the staff having to clean off fingerprints. I ordered the loaded French Dip au jus with fries. The roll was large and nicely toasted and filled the plate. The beef was ok, but not very tasty. The bowl of jus and fries were served on a separate plate. The jus wasn't very warm and seemed to be congealing. The fries were tasty but stuck together in large clumps. I also ordered iced tea which was watery. My wife ordered fish tacos. Two tacos arrived wrapped in foil. They were accompanied with refried beans and rice. Pico de Gallo, sour cream and mashed avocado (it was definitely not guacamole) came on a separate plate. There was plenty of food, but the presentation wasn't very appetizing. To make things worse, the tacos had a strong fishy smell which indicated that the fish was not fresh. The final insult with this underwhelming food offering was the price. I realize that restaurant prices have gone up since COVID, but I do not feel that we got anywhere close to value for money.
I had a “The Brig All American Cheese Burger”It was very delicious.Service was nice and friendly.Fully recommended.
The food was really good but the portions WAY too big. I had the fish and chips and it could have feed 2 of us. Old school diner atmosphere but the website made it look like you could see the marina..not! Still a nice place for breakfast and lunch!
The inside of the restaurant hasn't changed in 25 years. Tables, floors, ceilings and window coverings are all terribly aged and falling apart. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. The oil used to cook my fish and chips must have also been 25 years old! The service was very slow for the number of customers. I enjoyed this restaurant 15 or 20 years ago and I look forward to see if anything changes when I come back in 15 to 20 years!
An older facility that has great specials. Great for the ages crowd. Not really a place that I would recommend to bring kids but not a bad place for them. They do have a kids menu and a few healthy choices. The decor is rustic sea faring type and in my opinion the decor could use an update. This had been a staple in Dana point and I have been coming here for years. Not my favorite place to go but I think about this place as a breakfast place mostly.
I really enjoyed the food and the waiter was so nice this is kinda like the best restaurant in town!
Lovely Cafe with good food. Enjoyed breakfast here and able to eat outdoors. Friendly but somewhat slow service.
Excellent service and so many choices! Cinnamon roll with maple frosting for a breakfast appetizer was absolutely delicious. First time here and had the corned beef hash.. sooo good! Everything was absolutely scrumptious. I tried a bite of the patty melt and a fry a member of my party had.. excellent and the fries were to die for! Best diner type food restaurant I've been to. Got the bread pudding to go... Huge slice and so yummy! Thanks Kevin!
