My daughter had her rehearsal dinner here for about 68 people. We dined outside on the patio. The food and service was excellent. The venue is charming and there was ample space to accommodate a crowd. Sure wish I had another child to repeat the event, it was that memorable. Kudos to the vhefs and staff for being so attentive. We greatly appreciated everything!

Had dinner at SCG last night. Ordered the Baby Back Ribs and they were sensational. Very tasty and falling off the bone tender. Our waiter, Tyler, was very attentive and had a great attitude with all the customers he was handling. Definitely worth a visit (or re-visit in our case). Have always liked the atmosphere at SCG, casual but classy. Order the ribs, you won't be disappointed!

If the review were based solely on the food and our waiter it would have been a 5 star review. The ribs are to die for and the butter cake was delicious. However, we were rudely interrupted mid-fork into our main dishes by the manager turning the lights to 'last call' level. The table behind us also had the same reaction. After speaking with our waiter, both tables were visited by the manager who had no interest in making the remainder of our experience pleasurable by turning the lights back down. We were seated at 8:30 and the 'last call' lights were turned up at 9:30. It was such a disappointing end to a really good meal served by a really good waiter. Probably would have given 4 stars if the manager had cared at all about our experience.

All our meals were exceptional as well as was the service.

The Salt Creek Grille is a lovely restaurant, tucked away on the west side of the Monarch Bay Plaza but still easy to find. The décor has an elegant craftsman style to it with both indoor and outdoor seating. My wife and I went on a Saturday a little after 4:00 p.m. We were seated right away even though we did not have a reservation. Our server was very friendly and helpful since we haven’t been to this place many times. We started with a Huckleberry Lemonade which was very refreshing and not too strong. Next, we ordered the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, and the prawns were very large with the bacon having some chew to it. The honey chipotle sauce that came with it added a bit of tangy sweetness to the salty bacon and the bit of spicy horseradish that was stuffed into the shrimp. We also had the Caesar Over Mesquite, which is a wedge of grilled romaine with asiago. The sweet, smoky taste of the mesquite carries through on every bite and it is a unique dish I highly recommend. For the main course we had the Coffee-Encrusted NY cooked medium rare that came with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes. The steak was just delicious. The coffee crust added an extra taste of bitter, combined with slightly creamy, sourness of blue cheese. The seasonal vegetables were not overcooked but didn’t really add much to the plate. The only weak player on the plate was the mashed potatoes, which were dense and a little dry, with no mentionable flavor on its own. Next time, I may need to ask for a little gravy on the side. Last item was desert, which we had the Blueberry Cheesecake with a reduced seasonal fruit glaze. It was light for a cheesecake but sweet and enjoyable. Overall, this was a very nice meal and I hope to return soon.

I have not had a meal I regret paying for more than this. I literally cannot believe that they still batch vegetables in a mussy mix who does this. The waitress was very nice. I can't even understand how the prices can be this high and the food quality be this bad

Family of six had a magnificent dinner here. All said there food was excellent; fish, ribs, prime rib & appetizers. Margaritas and beer very good, ribs are very interesting with a very unique house made sauce. Very nice salads too. Pricey.

We sat in bar. Bar tenders were great. Halibut was awesome. Great fish and chips. People that give negative reviews are just bitter... had a great evening.

We are sitting here on Valentines Evening. Literally at our table as I write this. We’ve had to “wait on ourselves” in terms of getting water refills, napkins, salt & pepper. We were sat next to the waiter station so we were able to get these items on our own. We haven’t seen our waiter since he took our order. When the first dish arrived it was slammed down on to our table and the person quickly walked off. We waited another 10 min for a condiment for the first dish. Needless to say this was very under par for the status and pricing of this restaurant. Maybe they shouldn’t open on their days off, idk, but I will never return here. Very disappointed!

Seating was not comfortable because they put six large adults in a half round booth. Managers only suggestion was to split up our party and put us at different tables, he seemed very uninterested in making us or helping us get comfortable in his restaurant. Food was ok. Had sea bass, you wouldn't think a 46 dollar plate would serve you instant potatoes.
