The servers are very friendly. The menu has great breakfast options. The shopping center where the restaurant is located is very nice. I like Dana Point now.
The CINNAMON roll French toast will blow your mind!! The Starling outdoor/indoor restaurant is located close to the water but you don’t see the water. You get the fresh breeze off the ocean as you eat brunch and it is so magical. The service is outstanding and the food is even better! We got the cinnamon roll French toast in the combo which I highly recommend, the feta and avocado scramble, The chicken fried steak, and a classic omelette with bacon and ham and cheese but we turned it into a scramble and added avocado. We also got the Apple stuffed French toast and it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen! It tasted even better! Everything was so off the charts! We were filled to the brim with such amazing food and we will definitely be returning!
Had breakfast here, standard bacon and eggs. Homefries are specific to this restaurant, chopped up with onion, but not bad although a little greasy. Coffee was ok, stronger than standard diner. Nice atmosphere, would go back.
My friends and I were craving a diner breakfast and decided to give RJ’s Cafe a try. Everything we ordered was made perfectly! We all left extremely full and happy. The staff members were all friendly and made you feel like part of the family. It was very busy as it was a Sunday morning, but they sat us sooner than the quoted time and our waitress was still very attentive.

The locals were right!This place had a great breakfast, it was so good I forgot to take the photo before we ate it ?Lots of options, but we had the classic eggs Benedict and cinnamon roll french toast. Both were very good. Hollandaise had a good flavor and texture, nice thick cut ham.Cinnamon roll french toast was an indulgence that was well worth it. If you're out here for breakfast, give them a shot.
Our second time here! Only suggestion is to split a meal with your friends / family as breakfast portions are big.
