Portions are large. Make sure you show up with an appetite!!! Yummy food as well… the mid range prices make sense after you take a bite and realize you’re definitely getting a better taste experience than your local taco stop.
Good experience and strong drinks overlooking the Dana Point marina.No complaints… all good.
Worst experience ever. The male host acted like he never met us three times. We booked for 8:30 and showed up at 8:20 and waited till 9PM just to be seated after complaining. Later we found out this table was available for our get together of 8 at our arrival time yet the host wanted us to sit in a different section?? Terrible service our waitress was clearly overworked too but she was a nice lady.
It was absolutely a perfect experience, the wait staff was attentive and the food was delicious!
The place felt dirty. Table, bench, and menu were sticky. Bathroom door was sticky when I pushed if open. Chips were stale. Salsa was good. Margarita and Paloma were way too sweet. Food over was poor quality. Iâd say its fast food quality. The place has the potential to be nice but they donât seem to care.

Had to wait for a host to show up and seat us. No one was at the reception desk. We were on time for our reservation. We received the table we requested with a gorgeous view. The server was attentive, helpful and friendly. Food was delish. Toward the end of the meal, three children were running through the restaurant and around the tables, screaming and laughing. I love children but it was not the appropriate place to allow their behavior. Parents nor staff stopped them. Their loud and disruptive behavior definitely affected the mood and atmosphere. We left earlier than planned.
As expected, average. However, womenâs restroom was filthy, both stalls. This was at 6:30pm on a Saturday evening, no excuse
I was so disappointed. We made reservations only to drive 40 minutes to get there to have a rude manager say we donât have your reservations. I showed him the reservation and he said ok and we didnât get seated for a long time. I was so upset!!!! Why do I make a reservation to have it not exist
The Father's Day buffet brunch was excellent! Our server was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed at all times. Refills on beverages were generous and the food was always fresh, warm and delicious. The buffet also included food for the kids which was much appreciated. The view is what brought us to El Torito, the food and service is what will bring us back. Thank you very much!
