Dennis Dana Point...fast and friendly service, clean, good and fresh food, plenty of parking! Can't really beat the parking and the prices in Dana Point!!
When I arrived at 130 am to pick up a door dash delivery there the place was busy with about 12 young men finishing up their meals and two tables of four couples. I waited 20 minutes before being greeted or having my presence acknowledged by an employee. The host/ waitress was consumed with 12 individual checks for the young men leaving and serving the remaining diners and making change for checks being paid. The only other employee I'm the entire establishment that I could see was the cook. Usually I have a lot of patience with situations like these but I was working and Door dash gives you a time to pick up your delivery and a time it has to be delivered. I had six violations for being late in one month because of the changing construction detours on the 5 highway and was removed from the platform to accept orders for a month! I was not allowed to work for 30 days because I was 10 to 15 minutes late picking up an order or delivering an order. I wish merchant working with delivery apps like these would keep this in mind when getting orders to the drivers. We are not trying to be rude we are just trying to make a.living somehow with gas prices the way they are and tips are all we live off of. Rant over ..... I am sure this was just once in awhile situation for this place or it still wouldn't be there after all these years. Very clean place and pleasant employees.
We arrived on a Thursday, and we were seated in a great spot near the entrance. Our server, Hector, was very kind and got our food to us quick.I ordered the sampler platter with chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, wavy fries, and onion rings. Each item in the sampler was tasty, enhanced further with the BBQ and Marinara sauces.I'd gladly come back here again for another PCH trip!
I come here regularly. I often call in a breakfast when I'm less than 10 min away and it's almost always ready by the time I get there to pick it up. Just make sure your order is correct if you're doing a pick up. A great feature of this Dennys is that it's 24 hours. At 10 the rest of the town basically shuts down as far as food is concerned aside from some fast food drive-thru places that are open for only a couple of hours longer. This last time I went it was because it was 2:45 am and I had eaten a bit too much magical fungus right before going. The graveyard shift server was extremely accommodating especially considering my condition had reached Defcon 4 by the time I was halfway through my food. She took very good care of me, boxed up my food and with out going into more details she made sure I was gonna be fine. Totally above and beyond her duty as a server in a diner on the graveyard shift. Couldn't speak more highly of her or this place.
My family and I came to this dennys with a party of 10. Before ordering our food we let the server Karen know there was gonna be three separate checks. When it was time to pay she charged us all the wrong items on the receipts. Didn’t fix them and charged others for food that wasn’t ordered by that group. This is not okay!! This was an error done by her and she didn’t fix them. We were not happy with The server named Karen. Won’t be coming back!
Navid and his staff were exceptional!Sunday madness with families pouring in left and right. Hector, went above and beyond in taking care of us and the other filled tables.#AskforHector10/10!!
Just came off the beach for a warming post-surfing lunch with kids at this location. Very good Denny’s menu standards with remarkable service by waiter Hector Hernandez who elevated this meal to an outstanding destination-worthy experience. Hector treats his customers — even the kids — to kindness, charm and respect as part of world-class, gold-standard table service. He gets my vote for Le Clefs d’Or. (Manager and other staff we encountered were also superb.)
Just had lunch there… the food is good, the service is excellent. Hector Hernandez was our server and I hope the people at Denny read this. You should hire more people like him. Super personable, kind and happy to be there.
You know Denny always has a good breakfast but what made it better was the service Hector was the waiter and did a great job attending us and for being a Sunday we were in and out in No time
Thanks for having your Hispanic servers DISCRIMINATE AND RACISL PROFILE ME today at Dennys in Dana Point server German. I would have liked to have free refill of OJs and endless hash browns like his tables but I didnt cuz I was a white guy. If I could figure a way to suit Dennys into the stone age for RACIAL DISCRIMINATION and being profiled I certainly would.... I'm not done with this by any means yet.... They dont understand that white people speak Spanish too
