Walked in thinking I was just gonna order some take out but the vibe was amazing. Just got back from an overnight fishing trip and man did this restaurant fulfill my appetite. 1st time really exploring the Dana Point eateries and glad I stopped in. Very friendly staff and quick with the drinks and food. Music was playing softly in the background and the decor was spot on. Next time I'm in town, I'm definitely having a visit at Carlos Mexican once again.
Chicken wasn’t properly cooked, again. Service was horrible. No smiles, no friendly service from two different waiter and waitress. Second time we’ve been here and didn’t finish our meal, we paid and left. Across the way another couple down from us were furious at their food and waiter as well. Floors are dirty, bathrooms are filthy and the bugs along the wall inside are atrocious. Every drink glass was filthy. Never going back.
Fun place to go, pet friendly and fast service. Place was very clean. We had the steak tacos ? and they are very tasty. I'd recommend trying some specialty dishes.
Every first Sunday of the month, Always looking forward to our San Clemente beach church" the health amricans church" leading by pasor Peggy & pastor David Hall and after gatherings we will meeting in this lovely Carlos Mexican restaurant. Loved the best Mexican foods in Southern California! All their foods are yummy and deliciousand very good quality, they have very good vegan dishes. the best!!! Staffs are very friendly. Have live music ?. Can't wait for next time gatherings and yummiest Mexican foods ? ?
The Teremana always is smooth at Carlos Mexican Restaurant. The food is only upstaged by the awesome service. Everyone needs to head here for great Mexican food

We dined at Carlos’s for lunch and dinner during our week vacation and it was excellent! Gray outdoor courtyard and highly recommend!!

Carlos has great food! Me and my girl always go there she gets the Mexican pizza and I like to switch it up and everything I've had is delicious. I love their posole and their fajitas customer service is great and they're on top of it
