Appears to be family run and service is more basic. The food was good, generous portions and some of the best ribs we have had. The strip center it is in is difficult to find. It has a narrow almost hidden curved road that goes down into the strip center. The parking lot you end up in is next to and above the Mercedes dealer.
Was about to go to another restaurant nearby but wait was too long. Decided to come in here and give it a try. I surely made the right decision. This place has not disappointed. I actually went 2x in one week! I've also brought my friends and relatives and they too, love it.
The food was okay. Definitely missing flavor. It just tasted plain like they cooked my pad see ew in soy sauce only. The thai tea was really good though
Tiny little out of the way place that is very satisfying if you are as crazy about Thai food as I am. The Tom Kha (hot & sour coconut) soup is probably one of the best I've had, I drained a pot just so I could enjoy the hot, spicy, creamy goodness all the way down! The Pad See Ew has that wonderful wok sear, not too sweet and they didn't skimp on the sauce. Broccoli was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The garlic chicken lunch plate was very good, but could have had much more garlic in it. They should probably call it black pepper chicken, that seemed to be the dominant spice! It was good though, offset nicely by the hot tea.
I ordered here again and decided to give their Papaya Salad and Larb salad a try again along with their Pad Thai and Catfish Curry. The food was okay until I found a ladybug in my Papaya Salad! Gross. I just read another review on Yelp where they had a bug in their spring roll too.I'm disappointed because their food was decent until this came about. If you enjoy bugs in your food, eat here. Otherwise, skip this place.
We were a group of 6 and everyone got a dish every few minutes. When the last person got food, the first two have already finished. One curry was different than what we ordered. Veggie Delight completely unflavored. The tofu tasted like paper. Pad Thai and Green curry were good. Yellow curry is the only curry with chicken legs and we were not aware about that while it was undesirable.
Despite what's going on lately with restaurants struggling Shine Thai Cuisine is providing free meals for the community and it looks like they'll be doing it for the foreseeable future. Giving back even when they're in crisis is amazing. I'll be ordering from them when I'm in the mood for Thai food.
This cozy Thai eatery serves tastes experienced only on the streets of Bangkok. Pad Thai solid, albeit a bit more on the tomato side. Crispy stuffed chicken wing perfectly fried and generously filled with ground pork. Beef noodle soup broth fantastic, well-spiced and a nice depth of flavor.Thai restaurant of choice while in Daly City.
One of my favorite places to go for Thai food. I love ordering their Pad See Eww, papaya salad, and Tom Kha soup. Probably eat here at least 3 times a month. I am saddened of some of the negative reviews on here as this place is by far one of the best Thai places in the area.
It's okay in a pinch but definitely missing that flavor and ingredients. Compared to "King of Thai" which is by far the best in the bay area for the price. Tasted more of a Chinese version of Thai food than any authentic Thai food that I've ever had. Average of $10 a plate is totally not worth it. Sorry but for somebody who's been to Thailand and has had most Thai restaurants in the area it's just not cricket.
