Although named ‘Porridge King’, they also serve other classic Cantonese dishes and have a BBQ section (for char siu, duck, etc.). The main negative is that they are generally more expensive than other restaurants in the area (e.g. Skyline Cafe). Their regular wonton noodle soup was $11.50 before tax and tip. It came with A LOT of egg noodle, and the soup and wontons tasted great. No veggies or garnish of any kind though. Service was better than at Skyline Cafe. Cash only.
When my relatives visit this is a place we always go and we love the food. Service can be a bit slow but the cheap prices make up for it. Their menu is also massive and the waiters and waitresses somehow have all the dishes memorized to all the numbers. The place is fairly clean and it’s great for a big family meal or just a small occasion lunch.
I was eating inside the restaurant with my family at Porridge King during the night. The Chinese female old cashier was being rude to a young lady. She refused to cut the chicken for the customer and demanded the customer to pay money first. That is not right. Very rude customer service. They did not help the customer and she waited over 15 minutes. The old Chinese guy did not cut the chicken for the lady and was doing other stuff. Other Chinese BBQ restaurants would cut the meat first for the customer and then the customer will pay after. They only want money first
Had the rice soup. Very good..
Worst service in the Bay Area. Automatically Charge 15% service fee and refused giving us box to taking remaining food home since the packing box IS EXPENSIVE

The food in this eatery was incredible and delectable! I was amazed with regards to the room of cheddar they had. We will return and prescribe the eatery to my loved ones.

Cash only payment. Good and large menu selection. Won ton mien (noodle) with BBQ pork was great. Daily specials available too. I would return. Parking is limited.
