Food was ok but the portion they give is less than generous compared to other Hawaiian places. I got the combo chicken plate and was given one bbq chicken breast cut into strip and same for the chicken katsu. They also added some veggies which was just boiled with no taste at all. However, I did like their BBQ sauce which was not overly sweet.I wouldn’t come back unless I am really craving for Hawaiian and it was the closest options.

FOOD POISONING YESTERDAYI STRONGLY SUSPECT FOOD POISONING FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I ORDERED THE BARBECUE PLATE WITH RIBS BEEF AND CHICKEN AT ABOUT 5:30 IN THE AFTERNOON. THEN BECAME SICK AFTER MIDNIGHT. ABDOMINAL PAIN, VOMITING, DIARRHEA, AND FEVER. THOUGH I CANNOT YET CONFIRM SALMONELLA OR OTHER BACTERIA, I HAVE NOT BEEN TESTED YET, BUT I AM IN THE MEDICAL FIELD AND THOSE ARE TEXTBOOK SIGNS OF FOOD POISONING. ALSO DID NOT EAT AT ANY PLACE ELSE FOR 6 HOURS BEFORE EATING AT HAWAIIAN KING. STILL SICK TODAY WITH SYMPTOMS. I LET SAN MATEO COUNTY KNOW TO INVESTIGATE AND CONFIRM. THIS RESTAURANT HAS NO DIRECT NUMBER TO WARN STAFF.
I had a good experience previously but terrible customer service this time. Not sure if it’s a language barrier issue but I asked for a separate container for shrimp since I was sharing the seafood platter with an allergic friend and the lady proceeded to argue with me for 5 minutes even though I had gotten a separate container a few weeks ago from the same restaurant.The lady continued to press me that this wasn’t possible and I needed to pay for a container if I wanted it separate. Not sure why it’s so hard to separate a few pieces of shrimp. Last time I’m ordering from this place.
Good Hawaiian style baby back ribs, a little over done for my taste then requested, but the portions are great, as well as the customer service.
Not so good taste it's not as authentic like some are but if you like Hawaiian food then you'll love this place

I celebrated my PhD this evening in this great place. happy to tell that we passed a enjoyable evening and the venue was surely the reason for the fruitful evening. The team helped in a pleasant way, the cooking was very good and my buddies were very cheerful. We shall definitely visit again for more celebrations. thanks very much.
I got a combo platter of prawns and BBQ Beef, it was a great tasting food for such a small price. Highly recommend.
