Very tasty, but mostly due to the ingredients itself (as compared to seasoning and prep). It can easily go over $100 per person which I think is slightly (just slightly) overpriced. The environment is not the best but not bad. Will definitely come back when I crave for fresh seafood.
The food is ok but everything else is terribly horrible.1. They lack of servers. They have 12 tables but only two servers helping to steam the food. You need to wait for really long time to get the servers to come to ur table. (It’s hard for you to do it yourself bc they won’t tell u how long it takes to get the food ready)2. They charge tips based on the total(including tax).3. We wanted to order a 3 lb cod fish, no one will tell you the market price until you checked out. Most of the items are market price per pound. Similar things happen to other people as well. Also, they won’t let u approve before they killed the fish, and they gave 4.35 lb fish instead of the 3 lb without any approval!!!!!!!!! We argued with the manager but she said they have already killed the fish and it’s non-refundable. You will pay more than you expected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!4. We have four people and we spend $300+ for the dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!! See my receipt.5. If u want to have some special experience in SF, go for it! Anyway, DONT GO!
I would give zero star if I could.I made a call at 6:20 and I’m told there’s empty table. Arrived in 15 minutes, only 1 table waiting in front of us.Waited for nearly 2 hours, a lot of people come and all get seated. The staff didn’t arrange seats in the arriving order. The place is super crowded and people with symptoms are eating in the restaurant.I would never come to this restaurant ever again. The management is a mess, food is overpriced and people here are rude. The only way you can get a seat is to abandon your courtesy and jump in the queue.
Delicious seafood cook in a healthy way !
Be aware of what you order because they will NOT tell you the price of a crab when they first suggest you, then you end up with a $400 bill with an $80 tip, and that’s for two people. Total scam. Just go somewhere else.
The food is good but everything else is terrible. There are a few things you need to be aware of.1. They charge 18% tips based on the total(including tax), and no one will tell you they charge that until you check the receipt yourself. I argued with the manager and she said based on California regulations, tips are charged based on the total. At least I never heard about this kind of regulation. I told her the service is good, I’d love to tip the waiter but I should be well informed how they charge the tips ahead of time instead of finding it out and doing the math myself.2. You will pay more than you expected. Most of the items are market price per pound so we asked for the price when we make the order. We ordered cod and the waiter tells us each one weighs about 3-4 pounds but actually we got a 5+ pounds cod. Similar things happen to other stuff as well. If you order 3-4 items, usually you will pay $50+ more than you expected.
Really unique experience that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Steamed meats are very tasty and the congee at the end is great. You can get some high end meats such as waygu, geoduck, jumbo shrimp, and razor clam. Would be 5 stars except for a few issues:- Pricing is not clear for “market price” items leaving you with a higher than expected bill- Service lags when the restaurant becomes full. When we showed up we were only one of 3 tables and service was very attentive with cooking the meat and adjusting the heat, however when the restaurant became busy we had to flag down staff multiple times
Came by for a Sunday lunch with three other friends. Although we got seated fairly quickly, the service that particular day was very slow which was a bit of a bummer. They seemed to be understaffed which surprised me, since this is a popular Thai spot in SF!
Food is great. A bit pricy
