OVERPRICED, SLOW, AND BAD FOOD. Wife and I went in for lunch for the first time and noticed the high prices on the entrees so thought food must be good, but it took 40 min for us to receive the entrees - arrived at 11:50 am and we were the only one in the restaurant and did not get our food until 12:30. The worst part was the food. Wife ordered a Carbenara and I the Donkatsu. Portions were surprisingly small compare to what they charge and Dontaksu was undercook so it smelled of pork. Pasta was no better - both of us did not even finish 1/3 of our plate. Do not waste your money here.
Cafe Hiro has been strongly recommended by my foodie buddies and gosh darn it why oh why did I wait sooo long to judge it for myself? Hubs and I ordered their Omakase Course for 2 people and thoroughly enjoyed the whole dining experience! ?steamed peking pork buns ?asian BBQ beef salad ?seafood spaghetti ?osso bucco ?panna cotta ?croissant bread pudding ?blood orange margarita Cafe Hiro offers a delightful fusion of Japanese + Italian flavors. Everything was excellently prepared: that osso bucco short rib was oh soooo tender, the seafood spaghetti was so flavorful, the beef salad tossed in sesame-miso dressing with the bonus potato salad on top was deeeee-licious and sealing the meal with wiggly-jiggly panna cotta and bread pudding was fantastic! Compliments to Chef Hiro, we are so excited to return for the scallop risotto and uni pasta. Reserve on Yelp. Omakase for 2 people is $39 per person. Worth the wait, worth the $$ For pix and vids, IG @i_therefore_conclude
Been coming here for a decade, seriously the best restaurant in Cypress hands down, and a strong competitor for best in OC. Uni Pasta, Peking Bun app, chicken bacon carbonara, osso bucco, and everything else on the menu are AMAZING. They have Kirin on draft and Takara plum wine as well(which my wife loves). Don't hesitate, come down here, maybe make a reservation tho cause they get full fast for the evening. Another testament to their incredible food, kind service and great atmosphere. Will be coming for as long as they will be willing to serve patrons. 5 stars. ❤️
Always my go-to place because it NEVER disappoints. Menu is always changing to keep things fresh. But the one constant that I LOVE is the uni spaghetti. Yum yum ?
I'm not usually a fan of fusion restaurants, but this place gets it right!
Exotic and tasty fare. Wonderful fusion.
Made a reservation, excellent service with the omakase (course meal service)Waiter's were attentive, friendly, and informative. There were a few items on menu that couldn't be served because of lack of ingredients (seabass and scallops) but overall experience was wonderfulWould come again with friends
Service was slow, in my taste buds food was bland
We wanted to explore different city other than the ones we tried in the past and came across with Cafe Hiro. It's Japanese Italian food. I personally liked the seafood risotto and croissant bread pudding, my kids loved the carbonara spaghetti and the homemade mango and pineapple sorbet. My husband liked the ? pudding. Definitely will come back to try other food on the menu since we left the restaurant in a food coma stage ?
You will not regret the amazing black kuraboto pork curry and uni pasta
