Japanese Comfort Food

Food is pretty good. Portions are on the small side, price lil high for what you get. It is Japanese food so it will be expensive. Line is typically long, they close early and there is always a wait.

I’ve eaten a lot of tonkatsu curry rice from all around the globe and this is one of the best ones. I picked up and drove home 20 minutes journey and the pork outside was still flakey in a fresh way and juicy inside and not overfried. Very good.?

ordinary. pork cutlet is nice and thick, and fried well, but over-seasoned in katsu toji. rice is dry, but at least it is the correct type of rice. miso soup has minimal, almost no, miso flavor, but none of the other places do either.

We ordered Chicken Katsu Toji and Katsu Toji (pork). Both served in dark clay pots that keep food warm. The Katsu Toji wraps egg, and onions around boneless meat and simmered together is fantastic. We both finished the entire rice bowls as the dishes are very tasty. Don't remember when this happened last time, must be long ago. They serve one glass of free tea but we also ordered Matcha Genmai Cha hot tea which smells nice and has toasted nutty flavor. They use tablet for both order and service. The tablet also shows status of your orders. To refill hot water in our tea pot, we simply click on "need help" and then click on "refill hot water". Very well design. The waitress are very responsive for all helps.Overall very enjoyable lunch experience. One thing to note is once you click "add to tray" on any individual item, the order is taken. Thus is very different than most online shopping experience which need one confirmation for the entire orders in the tray. Be watch out for this.

Love the cleanliness and authentic taste. One of my go-to places for a quiet lunch.

First, staffs don't seem to cautiously care enough of getting online orders correctly. Second, if a customer submits any issue with their orders thru Doordash app, the store goes closed in the app so, door dash agent can not schedule a re-delivery for the customer. Example : (1) ordered a large size curry sauce ($21) thru Door Dash and received a small size ($7.5). (2) the other time, they missed an entire entree.

Great food, service is also on point. It's really hard to find a good thick piece of Tonkatsu (people who've been to Asia/Japan will know what I'm talking about). There were quite a few things out of stock when I went, so that's mildly frustrating. The sushi bites are slightly expensive but taste good. The salmon they use is not the normal fatty sashimi ones in sushi restaurants, it's much leaner and tougher in texture, just a heads up on that. Unagi Don is delicious but my wallet hates me.

What a great experience. As mentioned in previous posts, all ordering is done via an iPad at the table. However, unlike one post says, that does not mean you don’t tip. The wait staff are super helpful in explaining the menu, providing drinks, serving the food…tip them. The variety of flavors in each meal are amazing. So many different choices you try them all in one visit!

Delicious Japanese food that differs from the usual ramen and sushi joints. The atmosphere is great and the ordering process is high tech and pleasant. Upscale but worth it.

Really enjoyed the experience here, they did really well with the setup, ordering through a tablet, the food was tasty and satisfying along with fun and beautiful to look at.
