Absolutely not. Vegans & gluten free lovers - run the opposite direction this is how they do our burgersWhen I first went to counters I had nice buttery gluten free buns and shredded cheese - babe this burger I just got from them I could’ve had my momma make it at home and she can’t cookSo yeah. Never returning maybe I’ll try standup burgers instead it’ll be worth the drive if my burger will be done right
My first time at the counter today and I ordered the counter burger! THIS IS NOW MY NEW FAVORITE BURGER PLACE!!!!!! We ordered it to go and it WAS NOT even soggy! The onion crisps were super crispy!!! I usually go to The Habit and In n out burger, but the counter is WAY BETTER!!! I will definitely be back again!!!! Thank you so much for the yummy lunch today!!!
Deceptive Pricing. Why are you charging 20% extra??? You reprinted the menu with a huge message that you are DECEIVING THE CUSTOMER with a twenty percent surcharge. You Could have just increased the advertised prices. But you didn’t.Don’t enable this. Don’t go to this restaurant. My reply to the owner's reply:You are NOT doing everything to be transparent.By your rationale, you need to inform the customer on the breakdown of the total cost of their meal. In that vein, you should be listing out the cost of rent, electricity, insurance, raw food costs, lawyers, licenses, and other things, so that the customers are not tipping on a "higher" bill that includes items other than service. So, you ought to list your menu items based ONLY on the cost of service... a burger might be $3.00, for example. Then, add on 5-10 extra charges (like the service charge) for the insurance, rent, etc. THIS would be transparent. But, it is also patently absurd to do this.Your menu is supposed to give the customer the PRICE of your items. It is not your job to determine how the customer tips. And it is irresponsible to expect a customer to calculate the total. It is bad enough there is a sales tax, but nobody can fight that. You have purposely added yet another line item.Pay ALL your employees FAIRLY and do not put it on the customer to know about it. Charge more and keep it SIMPLE. It is absolutely offensive to see this sort of behaviour.Putting in an option to opt out of this, does not alleviate. You put your customer into an uncomfortable, self-guilt-ridden situation where they need to explicitly ask for this. The guilt should be borne by you. Pay fairly. KEEP the customer out of it! We do not mind paying more. We mind being disrespected.
Best burger place in the town. They have a great menu as well as an option for ‘build your own’. They have vegetarian/vegan options too.The vegan patty is yum. Fresh ingredients and toppings.Totally worth trying. You can order online and pick up at restaurant or do a curbside pick up too.
If you love a really good burger and don't mind spending 20$ on a burger alone..fries and drinks are extra. Enjoy.
I really liked the ambience of this restaurant. This restaurant is a bit pricey. They charge a mandatory 20% gratuity on your bill which is clearly mentioned on their menu (irrespective of the number of people at the table). I had a mango Margarita, it was pretty good. The sandwich was pretty average didn't taste like wow to me. The wings were pretty good, well cooked. The staff is very humble and very prompt in service. Overall it was a good experience. Might visit again and try their burgers!
First rate pricey burger We stopped in mid afternoon on a Tuesday starving for some good ol’ burgers and were not disappointed. The Counter produced an excellent burger, delicious sauces, and mouth watering sides. Wife had a regular Counter burger medium and could appreciate the fresh taste of the beef with that wonderful a solid aeoli to spread over the bun. I had a bacon BBQ and loved the crisp bacon over the burger with a tangy and sweet BBQ sauce. We split an order of the loaded tots and thought they were served crispy, hot, and with great cheese and bacon bits to satisfy anyone. Service was thorough and well done. Would we come back? Maybe if we were in the area and don’t mind the high price of some things.
Who doesn't like a good burger, right? They have meat and meatless options... I went for a regular hamburger. The quality of the meat wasn't up to snuff, though... I buy 93% lean at Safeway and make a better burger at home. But if you just don't wanna do dishes, or just want someplace to hit up with friends, The Counter is ah'ight... way better than McBurger's! :)
The Counter is great..Try the tater tots with green onions and bacon..Awesome..had the fried pickles..Yummmy!!!
