Original signature sauced chicken (half) and crispy fried chicken (half) + Peli fried potatoes (cheese powder on top).Chicken was well fried and juicy. I can tell they use good, fresh ingredients. Taste itself was also good - not too greasy/salty.Only thing was the original signature sauce - for me it was too much of garlic and i wish the sauce could have deeper taste/flavor. I was looking for Korean yangnyum chicken so bad in US. Well this place is so far the closest i can find near bay area.
Perfectly same taste with Korean Pelicana Chicken!!! I’ve been waited for a long time to eat the truly Korean fried chicken. Normally I make a Korean fried chicken with signature sauce at home because I am not satisfied with any chicken brand. Finally I found my favorite Korean chicken brand in US. Taste and service were so wonderful. I recommend to order a original fried chicken with signature sauce.
The fried chicken is amazing! Sauce combo too. I tried the snail salad, great for warm summer day. The spicy buldak was kind of mild, disappointment as it is not spicy at all.
Delicious and well cooked. A bit greasy but tastes good. The “spicy hot” sauce is very hot and delicious, try them out if you love spicy food.
I never thought fried chicken can be this juicy! Not sure how they do it but they manage to keep the flavor of the meat.I paired the soy wings with Spicy Seanail salad and wow! So refreshing on a hot day! Will come back when in town to try cheese flavor and signature sauce (i heard it’s most popular)
Not bad but not super amazing either. I like the garlic sauce the most. Next time I'll probably get drums and flats instead of half chicken since I tend to like those pieces more. Also tried the crispy plain, crispy cheesling, and original soy. They were also not bad. Fries were pretty mid, I wish they were not as cold.
Ordered take out for two chickens and the portions were each very small for the price and very poorly cut—a lot of broken small bones. The chickens only had one drumstick each and barley any sauce. Very disappointed felt uncomfortable serving to my family and had to make sandwiches
Pelicana is probably one of the oldest Korean Fried Chicken places in Korea (way before Bonchon or Kyochon) so when it came to Bay Area I've got to try it. I ordered half chicken which interestingly didn't have a drumstick so not sure how that chicken had no legs. In any case, it's not bad but doesn't have the special flavor of Bonchon (my personal favorite) or Vons so I really wouldn't go out of my way for it. I do not recommend the stir fried gizzard as it lacks a certain kick to it to make it complete.
Worst chicken for the price . Not many options to choose and worst taste for the price . Dont ever suggest this place to anyone . I came with my colleagues and i felt ashamed to bring them to this place as they expected I would show them a place for tasty food
I had crispy chicken and it was soooooo good. I like the hot spicy sauce too! It is a little bit hot, but I usually enjoy hot and spicy food. ??Also the Tteokbokki and Sea snail salad were great! Love it ?
