They definitely need another barista - props to whoever was working today that was hustling to keep up with coffee orders! Food maker did not have the same hustle. Took 25 minute to get my bagel which seemed to have the whole container of cream cheese on it. Offering half portion bagels would be amazing! Visit only if you’re not rushing to get to work.
Interesting name, cute store, but my coffee experience wasn't up to standard. When I walked into the coffee shop, two baristas were chatting. They paused to look at me, then resumed their little chat and greeted me after the conversation was over. I got a cup of cappuccino, and it looked a sloppy work. There was a thick layer of foam and under it the coffee was too hot.The storefront is small, with standing only space and a narrow corridor leading to another corner between two shelves fully stocked with miscellaneous items from coffee beans to candles to ear rings. The selection seems to me only meant for impulsive purchases.
This is the place to go in Culver City for the morning coffee vibes. My cappuccino was done really well. Latte art on point.Inside the shop, they sell lots of cool ingredients for coffee making. On their menu, they also serve breakfast items. They have outdoor seating in front of their window and also on the side of their store.
Excellent culver city hole in the wall coffee shop. They know their regulars! One thing is in the morning the wait can be super long, but they are friendly and are doing their best with the huge volume of customers. I've liked every drink I've ever gotten and they serve rooster truck breakfast burritos too! 10/10 recommend, better coffee than Go Get Em (which is a very popular LA spot across the street).
Agree with the commenter that said a lot of attitude at this place. Overall, food is pretty good but the best coffee that is not starbucks comes from Groundworks IMO (One on Main st in Santa Monica and on Rose in Venice).Ordered a latte with milk from this place. Taste was mostly milk. Also, if you order like a "vanilla cold brew".Most places have a flat cost for that but this place charges an extra dollar or two for the already $6 coffee. Again, drinks aren't that bad but Groundworks price and taste is one of the best in LA, I just wish it was closer to Culver City.
NO CONSIDERATION for customers presence. It was the worst customer experience I had so far. My americano was very acidic for my taste. It's was usually smooth less acidity before. It was not the espresso I had issue here but the very poor treatment of customers.I walked on the curb and saw a female employee cleaning the sidewalk. I asked her a question but kept cleaning and did not ask me to be careful because it was slippery. As I was waiting for a while for service asked her if someone was available. She said just to wait.A second female employee, a barista was making my Americano. Suddenly, I felt splashes of water behind my legs. She continue to hosed down the sidewalk inches away from standing inside the front entrance. I said that I was getting wet front of 2 of the employees but ignored me.The manners and professionalism of the female employees has resulted as my final visit to your coffee shop.
Good coffee but small shop. Good for a quick in and out. Too bad the outdoor tables are like in the side walk and next to garbage.Take to go and enjoy the sun elsewhere.
Great little coffee shop with lots of cycling gear on sale, too. There's a small pastry selection here too, but I haven't had these too often. Usually I get an espresso drink and sit outside, and am always satisfied.
First impression was excellent! Really nice decor and a cool bar at the end of the room. We sat at the bar and the bartender Ivan was very helpful in recommending and explaining the cocktail list as well as the food menu.
Amazing atmosphere, the pastries were so beautiful I wish I ate gluten... I want to go back to buy something from their shop as well.
