I have literally been going to this market since I was 4-5 years old. My father was friends with the original owner, Alberto Vera. They remain one of the best Italian deli's and world markets in Los Angeles. There pastrami and sliced beef with peppers sandwiches are excellent, and don't miss out on their fresh pasta. They also have a ridiculous lobster ravioli in their frozen pasta section that pairs well with any light cream sauce. I hope this place stays around forever.
This is an authentic Italian market with a deli and fresh bakery goods. They have a wide assortment of pasta, sauces, coffee, cookies, drinks, and so much more. It has a corner market feel and everyone is amazing when you enter. Great customer service and everyone is friendly.
This was my 1st time at this restaurant. It did not disappoint. The pizza looked so good I could not wait to try it. I purchased the meat lovers and saved myself a couple of pieces for the next day. I never do this with pizza. It was just that good. I will definitely be back.
This is a great place to buy Italian pastries, cheese, canned tomatoes, and pasta. There are imported items that are hard to find anywhere else, and a really interesting mural as you walk in from the back door parking lot. They even have gluten free pasta, on the shelf under the front window.
I am here once a week. Always my sopressata with a drink for lunch. You can’t beat these sandwiches. It’s a good simple sandwich and fresh soft bread. If you think your sandwich needs more stuff or fillers then you’re thinking of an inferior sandwich because these sandwiches have quality ingredients and a nice balance of meat, cheese and tomato spread with some lettuce for some freshness.I’ve been eating these sandwiches since I was in middle school when they used to sell these at the school cafeteria at a discount so the kids would be able to afford a good sandwich and eat something other than sloppy Joe’s or hamburgers.
This is a old time FAVORITE!!! The best of everything Italian! The meat ball sandwiches parmesan sandwiches the eclairs... And don't forget to take home marinara sauce and fresh pasta
Eataly has nothing on this wonderful Italian (and international foods) market.During my first visit, Steve helped me select 13 wines from their selection of 20 regions in Italy. And we loved almost every single one! The care and thought that went into sourcing the wines is obvious to me and much appreciated! They also have a great selection of fresh and dried pastas, pesto, olives, crackers, teas, cookies, pastries, olive oils and so much more.I come back to this place again and again because it’s one of the few wonderful small businesses in LA left.
We found everything we needed to make excellent sub sandwichs: thin sliced black forest ham, crunchy aromatic grinder buns, spicy Giardino rialto peppers. Plus buttery italian cookies and flavorful and delicate ravioli for dinner!
Great friendly service with delicious food and drinks!
