Xxsloth_teamxX on YouTubeSo we visited this Peruvian restaurant at Culver City we are so happy with the food and service we got today and the taste was great and I will come back and will recommend to my family and friends.
Some of the best Peruvian food I have ever had. Amazing menu with all kinds of options. The ceviche was out of this world! The meats were all super tender. This place is definitely a must see.
Pretty great Peruvian food here at Lonzo's, especially the plating on the ceviche! The Poor Man's steak was wonderful and tender. The ceviche was also pretty good. The flavor for the Osso Buco Seco was ok and could be more tender if they cooked it longer.
I thought they had food quality of their mains and appetizers. I did the seafood saltado as a variant. I don't think it works with shells. I would've preferred everything peeled since saltado is not a hands-on dish.Actually the best thing I had isn't pictured: their passion fruit tart. Get their baked goods for dessert. I found out later they used to be a bakery. That is their heart, I think. They make good food and great dessert. It's the dessert, the baking, that is the fourth star.
$18 for a Saltado de Pollo and it wasn't that great. Not saying it the worst because it isn't but maybe the cook wasn't on his A game tonight. Fries were dry and maybe the rice soaked up all the juguito but it seemed lacking today. Also there really isn't any ambiance to the location but that's most likely to the small location and it's understandable. I will give it a try again but the prices are rather high.
We ordered Pollo Salado, Poor man Steak, and Salmon Tiradito. Both the chicken and beef dishes were great, with nicely cooked meat. Both dishes had large fries, rice topped with sunny side up eggs, and veggies (Salado) or salad and fried plantain (Poor man). The big disappointment was the Tiradito, which was tasty but only a few bites as an appetizer for the same price as the Salado. I would have thought the waitress would have said that it's only an appetizer. So I went home and had leftover pizza but the rest of my family was full. For this, I deducted a star.Overall, basic outdoor ambience with gas heaters (but the inside didn't look inviting), quick friendly service, no alcohol permit but several tables BYOB, need to call a day ahead for pisco sour. Had one juice as well. Meal for two and half persons $85. BTW, the restaurant uses different menus than the ones shown here.
This was some of the best Peruvian cuisine I’ve had since visiting Peru years ago (and that includes Michelin starred Peruvian in London). The flavor profiles were spot on, from the tiradito to the causa and arroz con mariscos. The presentation was spectacular for such a nondescript, humble spot.I would 100% recommend and will be back next time I’m in LA!
Food is amazing here!! Beef is super tender and juicy, must try this place!
The quality of the food is top tierWith Peru spice, the flavor is whole another level. This is the restaurant if u visiting LA and u love to try different stuff.Highly recommend, would recommend friend.
The farmers' ceviche and the lomo saltado are pretty legit. The outdoor seating is compact and cute, although the very end tables are a bit more exposed to the wind.Sadly not all the menu items were as good as the first two-- tropical ceviche was done right but didn't quite mesh with the palate, and the arroz con mariscos was a bit too soggy.
