This place was recommended by a local. He told me this where the local Mexican and other Hispanics eat. What a pleasant surprise !! To begin the place is very clean, you are able to wan in keeping social distance and all the employees wear masks. Now to the most important part the food. I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of the food. I had the cow’s tongue burrito (wanted something I never had) it was deliciously prepared, with rice and beans it was huge two people honestly can share but had all by myself. My stepson had carne asada burrito came guacamole, picked jalapeños, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, and a good portion of guacamole our order came with chips and green salsa. I had a large horchata drink and he had a medium coke, all of that $34.58 tipping not required or expected lol. We definitely going back

Thought about 3* for the flan because it was quality not amazing but good, but the torta was ordinary with day old bread, and the taquito was straight trash… not a good spot for Tortas Or taquitos… $25 total, over priced

Fast service great food lasted less 20mins for my order was busy food was fresh but wanted more wacamula I should have asked for extra on side meat was well done burrito had flavor

It's been a long time since I've been here but me and my parents used to come here about 20 years ago and they still got one of the biggest burritos you're ever gonna have!!!!?

Food is always so good and the staff is constantly on the go making magic happen. Do yourself a favor and order the largest bag of chips and salsa. My husband and I snack on that for a week if we're pacing ourselves.

I tried the chile relleno burrito was huge, but it was yummy for a few meals.. My parents also liked their lengua burrito.. 1 thing i didnt like is there was no inside dining ?

I have been going to El Abajeno Mexican Restaurant for over 50 years and they still serve the BEST Mexican food on this planet, period! ! ! Every person I have ever taken here tells me that this is now their favorite restaurant. Their food is always fresh and totally delicious with the best salsa you’ve ever tasted. My all time dish is the Chili Relleno burrito wet, yummy, and a Chicken Taquito to die for. This is a must go too for an unbelievable dinning experience.

It Was My 1st Time There & Had The BEST Carnitas Soft Taco?(Even Tho They Call It A "Taquito⁉️") I Have EVER Had‼️ Really Looking Forward To Going Back There Again, Even Tho It's Terribly Far From Where I Am/Live But It's Definitely Worth The Journey??️????❣️PS Cannot Wait Until They Open The Dining Room Again?, So Next Time, I Can Actually Eat & Enjoy The Ambiance From Inside The Restaurant‼️

Food is good. When I asked for salsa the workers looked at each other like what to do. I was told it didn't come w my order. The manager let me know that he would give me some now, but next time it didn't come w my order. That was a first for me. I offered to pay for it. What mexican restaurant dosen't offer salsa?

The food was very well prepared and packaged for take out. They did make a mistake and give me Chile Colorado instead of Chile Verde, but it was still delicious. The super tostada ordered was more like a large soft shell taco - not what I expected.I will return to try more menu options.
