In CC for business and near my hotel so decided to give it a try. Overall, the food is very very good. I started with the Mista salad. Large portion, a bit too much dressing but not egregiously. The main course was the half roasted boneless game hen, roasted potatoes and asparagus...perfectly portioned and absolutely delicious. Can definitely recommend it.Waitress was attentive without being overbearing. Meal was moderatey priced. Overall deserves at least 4.5 stars
gracious staff and delicious food
This review is focused on Carasau Caffe, adjoining the ristorante. Francesco, the proprietor, grew up in Parma. Yes, as in prosciutto di Parma and the essential cheese parmigiano. My first visit was a perfect late breakfast in a serene outdoor patio. The main of perfect eggs atop ragu was delicious and balanced. I brought a few desserts to my daughter’s family—they said they were delicious! Thank you for creating a hidden gem.
Our dining experience was one of the best! Excellent food and service!
The food is really outstanding. You absolutely need to try the Fregole Mediterraneo style....Everything is good but...prices need to be lower. Appetizers run for not less than $25 and , pasta plate for almost $30 and main courses for $40 and up...we are not in an upscale restaurant with limo outside and incredible decor inside., the place is very simple and small. I would like to see the prices be in the same line as the "casual" atmosphere of this place. LA need affordable real food . I am afraid they risk to be overtaken by other restaurants in the area which are much more appealing and to tell you the truth....if I would need to choose between them and this one for a date....I would probably skip this one.
This is a decent Neighborhood Place in Culver City. If the theaters ever reopen, it would be very convenient because it's right next door. My companion and I shared to pasta dishes, 11:00 fettuccine with scallops and a pasta with sausage and meat sauce. Service was very friendly, and the place is nicely decorated.
Coffee is so smooth here! I've been to some of the nicest coffee shops but always get disappointed when the coffee either tastes like water or bitter grinds. The Owner Francesco was super sweet, I asked a bunch of questions and he patiently answered it all. I got the flat white with a ricotta & chocolate tart and a foccascia pizza -- everything was so delicious! Fresh ingredients & authentic Italian coffee. Will be back for sure. They have a dog friendly patio, and the restaurant next door opens at lunch so I'll bring my dog back next time!
Wow, so glad we drove the extra distance to dine there, the food was awesome, true Sardinia flavor and taste. The owner and servers were super nice, great dining experience and highly recommended.
Carasau Ristorante is my favorite Italian restaurant. That is a bold statement coming from a foodie who eats out often. I started eating at Carasau Ristorante 6 years ago when it opened. It was a hidden gem then and I am only writing a review now that everyone has figured out what a great place this is! I was hopingi t would by my little secret but now its hard to get a table.
Lorella the wife of the husband and wife team runs the front of the house and has the ability to project hospitality, passion, positivity and respect in marathon sessions. Massimo, the husband half does the food, it's regional and distinct and executed with remarkable consistency. The octopus stew is brilliant. If they are not there the place is closed.
