The pesto pasta was decent, but it should be for 20 bucks. 17 dollar Croissanwich was mediocre w that great chewy bacon you have to spit out, and they tried to charge me 2 bucks for switching cheeses. Then we waited over ten minutes to get the check, all in al it’s that perfect LA experience that makes people love the city and change your life for the better to cook at home more ?

Bad service/ownership. Came here for a celebratory graduation breakfast. Got there at 8am sharp to get a table for 6. They told us to seat ourselves. The owner/servers kicked us out and told us we have to stand outside the establishment until the last 3 people arrived. Bare in mind, they were only a mile down Overland at this point and we were to begin ordering coffees/lattes as soon as we sat. I understand that type of protocol when busy. However, there were 3 total people in the establishment at 8am. The food (aka eggs) is far too overpriced to speak to customers like that. And I’m glad we left, we didn’t need to bring down our day with the people working there.

Ordered 3 eggs (scrambled) with wheat toast. They must’ve used the world’s smallest eggs. Ordered a long black. Got filtered coffee. Nothing French about anything. Disappointed. Don’t bother

I really like this place for a breakfast or lunch (breakfast is served all day). It's a cute little cafe with French options but also some really delicious breakfast food. I always get the build your own omelette and fresh orange juice (it really is delicious and fresh!). The food comes out fairly quickly, is a significant portion of food, and the noise level isn't too bad. I will definitely be back.

I got the crêpe parisienne with ham and a side salad. The crepes are packed with flavor and big enough for 2 adults and a child to share. The coffee was just the right amount of caffeine to wake the dead without giving you the jitters. The service was excellent. My only regret was not sitting outside. I thought they only offered seating in front of the restaurant but there’s a covered patio in the back that makes for a perfect experience on warmer days. Highly recommend!

“Fancy brunch”

Our trip to Café Laurent was excellent. I received a free mocha for my birthday, and service was prompt and attentive. The food was delicious as always (I had a custom Sweet Crêpe, and even though the menu doesn't list caramel as an option for the custom crêpes, they allowed me to choose it).All servers and cooks continue to wear masks, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Because of the torrential rain, the patio seating was closed, and we were stuck with indoor seating that was a little closer than I'd prefer. However, despite their indoor seating area not being very large, they seated us as far from others as was possible with the crowd that came in. Nor did they attempt to rush us despite the aforementioned crowd. We ordered a to-go meal in addition to dining in, and they had no problems accommodating two separate checks, and having the to-go meal ready just as we were prepared to leave.

Went here for this first time today and this will probably be my last. I came to meet a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. The service was fast but NOT attentive. I felt extremely rushed. The servers kept asking was I finished eating with a FULL plate but never even offered us water. Food was fast but the server is so concerned with “flipping tables” that they were inconsiderate. I ended up boxing most of my food. On a good note the French toast is amazing! Come only if you plan to eat quickly and leave not good for a brunch with friends.

20 to 30 dollar brunch, close to LAX maybe 15 min away on a weekend. Good food.Seated quickly. Indoor and outdoor but better lighting outside. Nice vibe. There was one all gender bathroom for the whole place which is inconvenient when line gets long. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.I got the fancy brunch for 19. It was filling and tasty. The potato gratin was delicious. Expect to pay 5 more for a mediocre coffee and 5 more for a croissant or pastry.Parking is on the street.

Very nice, French brunch with touches of California. Their croque madame was made perfectly. Their salad included a little avocado. And they have an open patio; important in these times of COVID. Recommended.
