This is my new favorite place! Wandered in on a Friday looking to kill some time with a cold brew and some bar snacks. Spent several hours drinking cheap beers (hard to find in this town), noshing on some tasty skewered meat, and singing karaoke in an amazingly fun and not judgemental environment. It made me nostalgic for Friday karaoke back home at The Forest but now I know where to go when I get the hankering to knock one back and belt one out! LOL
Regular for 2 decades. They keep improving the place. Good mix of locals & during the week studio people come in. Good kitchen, reasonable pricing compared with other Culver City joints. Nothing phony about Backstage.
Located across from Sony Studios this neighborhood bar is known for their great drinks, dark atmosphere, good bar food and popular karaoke. Service is very friendly. We sat at Kelly's bar on this occasion and she is just as kool as this bar! If you're looking for a good Culver City hang, come on in.
Wish they kept the bar as is. Had more of a friendly atmosphere.

We came here on a Wednesday evening and the service was excellent. They have indoor and outdoor door seating and there's a sister Tavola right on the same block.Calamari: It was good. Nice and crispy.Burrata: the best burrata I had ever tried. Highly recommended!!
Just needed a place to talk some bizness. Didn't know they sold food and I didn't notice the name was more than Backstage. Backstage and Grill. My associate wanted to drink a few beers. I don't drink alcohol or sodas so I asked for a virgin piña colada. They had none. I decided to compromise a little so I asked for a Michilada. They had none. So I asked for tomato juice with just a small amount of beer. She brought me a small amount of tomato juice and a whole beer.???
