My ALL-TIME favorite place to eat. Even though it's an hour & a half drive, (Each way,) the anticipation going to, and the aftermeal bliss, make it well worth it. A tad expensive... Yes. Worth every penny... Absolutely! Until next time...

I've been a patron of the North Woods Inn of Covina since the late 80's, when I was in Jr. High. I went here with my parents, and now I bring my wife and my boys as well. It's a long family tradition to come here! We are so thankful for the North Woods Inn and have an incredible time for each visit. This visit was especially great! The service was wonderful, the food was as incredible as always, and the atmosphere was awesome! Thank you North Woods Inn for always being there and giving excellent service!
If it weren't for my parents, I would've never known this Big Bear Cabin Restaurant existed. The cheese bread was out of this world!I honestly can't wait to go back again.
We recently visited North Woods Inn fort my birthday. The atmosphere is classic North Woods, dark and lots of wood. The 2 salads and bread could really be a meal by themselves. We ordered steaks 3 and lobster. The steak was perfection. All 3 of our lobsters were very overcooked. They were so overcooked that they were barely edible. Next time I'll send them back. Even so, I still recommend because it was so out of the ordinary.
Have always loved this place! Signature dishes (the salads....yum yum), great cocktails, and typically outstanding service. Great place for a date night or group celebration. Come hungry though! The servings are BIG. Also....there is a big bar area to hang at while you wait for your table where you can munch on peanuts and throw the shells on the floor.
This is an old family favorite. We go here every year for my dad's birthday. He has been going here since he was a kids and nothing has changed; not the decorations, the atmosphere, and most importantly the food. Their endless salad and cheese bread is always a must. They have great steaks and the rice pilaf with baked potato is always spot on.
Service is excellent. Been coming here since I was a kid. Brings back so many memories.
