Very slow service at 6:00 on a Wed., food wasn't very good, prices are high. This place used to be great. Sad to see it go downhill.
Oysters were AMAZING!! The main courses left something to be desired. The Mac and cheese made up for the small portions
Celebrating birthday & my son 1st day home on leave from the Army. This is the 3rd time weâve been to Water Grill: 1st time service was awful, extremely slow & the food was mediocre; 2nd time service & food were better; 3rd time service was awful, slow & food was ok. I gave it 3 tries, we wonât be back to this restaurant.
We arrived at the resturant at 7 for a 7:15 appointment. We were seated at 7:30pm. Upon being seated we were given menus and our waiter came around and filled water. My husband and I ordered cocktails and the guests ordered drinks. Then the delay began, we finally ordered a couple of appetizers and our main meals. We waited 30 min for appetizers. They brought my husbands clam chowder and just as they were going to place our sushi on the table another waiter bumped into the server causing the plate to lose multiple pieces, without saying anything the server left. We called the waiter he said oh let me see, my manager will bring it out.. 10 minutes later it came.. The fish dishes Halibut (very overcooked and dry) my $54 salmon which sounded incredible on the menu was so disappointing I didnât even finish. Needless to say everyone was sad because we love to try new places. The vibe was good but the food was extremely overpriced bar food. Hopefully, you will have a better experience.
I took my elderly father to dinner here as I do at other restaurants. Love to spend as much time as possible with him. Food and drinks were great as usual. The server left a LOT to be desired. We did not get the server come to our table to check on us once! Ordering also had to be prompted to the server. Unfortunate as I do enjoy this restaurant. Manager Alejandro was awesome in taking care of things himself.
Four of the last five experiences at Water Grill have been subpar⦠last night was no exception. We went to enjoy our anniversary with another couple who had not dined there yet. We notified the restaurant of the special occasion, but even after reminding the hostess, nothing was saidâ¦. Although not especially busy, it took our waitress more than 30 minutes to finally take our order. We had to ask her 5 times for more butter, despite watching several other tables be presented with bread and butter. It definitely seemed like our server was annoyed with having to do her job! Our food arrived with mistakes. One steak ordered medium plus arrived rare⦠my scallops were cold. They tools the steak back and prepared another, but because no one ever came back to check on us, and we couldnât flag anyone down to let them know, by the time the replacement steak was delivered to the table, everyone else had finished their dinners, so our fiend had it wrapped to go⦠All in all a very disappointing evening in a string of disappointments. Sadly, we will no longer dine at one of our formerly favorite restaurants!!

We arrived right a 5 pm for our 5 pm reservation. We were not seated until 5:20. Once we were seated it was at least 8-10 min. before anyone came to our table. Unacceptable. Once we ordered cocktails, it took a long time before they were delivered... VERY slow service! Once we finally got our salads and entree it was very good but Water Grill was disappointing overall, because of the ridiculously slow service. Would not return.
Very long waiting for the appetizer, and again long waiting in between courses. Level of cooking is underwhelming for this class of restaurantsâ¦not worth it
