This valet dude out here has a really BAD attitude. Didn’t bring cash with me so had to pay with card, so he SWORE at me and kept pounding hard on the table. He then smashed my card into the card reader and then started smashing the whole card reader on the table and dropping the F bomb…. In the end, he grabbed my key and drove to me in a really aggressive way. Swear to god that he almost broke my card and scratched my car….. Food was great but this valet experience is extremely TERRIBLE. Just want to let the customers be aware of this guy. Man’s really aggressive and belligerent.

A ver y happening place with great tapas. If you love Paella this is the place for you. Although it is very busy and you are seated in close proximity it is amazing the noice level is completely tolerable.

First time visiting Vaca and it did not disappoint. Service was excellent. Bartender recommended drinks and tapas. Everything was on point. Highly recommend Vaca to everyone!

I had called in advance to ascertain the parking situation and the $8 valet parking was a great help as we found our way into the restaurant via the red carpet and the rest of the dinner was simply magic. I asked for non-alcoholic drinks and was recommended an interesting pineapple/orange/gingery drink called "sunskirt" which I really enjoyed, and then we also shared the bikini sandwich where the manchego cheese tasted really incredible and of course the Iberian ham was also very meaty inside between the buttery bread slices that actually reminded me of grilled cheese, and the warm octopus with fingerling potatoes were certainly of a very high caliber of cooking and yet the potatoes came off as somehow dry and flaky, and -the Valenciana paella apparently does take anywhere from 20-45 minutes to arrive as they are made on order but upon arrival everything inside the pan from the chorizo sausage pieces bursting with great flavor and the large succulent shrimps to the moist rice with a great tomato base and the perfectly portioned saffron aioli really made a memorable Spanish meal. As we were celebrating two April birthdays during this dinner, we were astonished when we received two surprise desserts of a warm almond cake topped with a smooth vanilla ice cream. We had also ordered a tarta de queso, or basque cheesecake, where the cheesecake component had a deliciously mild and yet creamy texture that allowed the true taste to linger on my tastebuds and was topped with a caramel drizzle and a sweet and nutty caramel ice cream. I truly appreciated the staff who continously worked to pick pieces of fallen food crumbs off of our table as this allowed us to truly savor the dishes before us and enjoy the meal to its fullest -- truly a Michelin quality dining experience from start to finish. We will definitely be returning and would like to highlight our incredible experience from our first visit for Amar & the Vaca team to know that they are doing such great work!!

This is the best meal I've had in a long time, and that is saying something because I used to live in Chicago and have been to some great restaurants. We were lucky enough to walk in on a Saturday night and only have a short wait to get 2 seats at the bar. The bartender was very attentive to us even though she was so busy. Both cocktails I had were interesting and delicious, along with being beautiful. The tapas style made it easy to order just a of couple things at a time and enjoy them before moving on to something new. Everything we ate was amazing, but my favorite was the bone marrow with beef cheek. The meal wasn't cheap but was worth every penny.

It's been a while since I've enjoyed a meal this much. I really like the tapas concept because it allows you to taste a variety of different dishes. Even more surprising was that every single one we ordered was absolutely delicious. We also shared a steak, which was cooked to perfection. Top that off with excellent service, which makes this place a keeper for me. I'll definitely be going back.

Small and expensive tapas of inconsistent quality (ctopus is good, calamares average for instance, the chorizo is literally a few slices) Service is good. Wine prices are through the roof. We ended up paying 80 USD per person for 1 drink and

My first time here was phenomenal. Sat on the patio, beautiful summer weather, drinks were delightful, the food was on point. So of course, I had to come back. I love the ambience and atmosphere of Vaca. Romantic, rustic, beautiful. Sitting inside is awful. You are seated lined up on bench seating where you can hear the conversations on both sides of you. I understand it's a small place so unfortunately it's hard to do something different with seating. The food was as amazing as I remember it but the drinks lacked luster. Ordered a couple of the signature fancy drinks and they did not impress, so I switched to an off menu spicy cucumber margarita and that hit the spot. Overall a great night, just not as amazing as that first time.

I have always enjoyed Vaca, mostly for its quality meat and craft cocktails. We usually sit at the bar and the bartenders provide friendly service. This time we were with my minor daughter so we had to sit at a table. Anyway we ORDERED: Two plates of appetizer brava potatoes, 1 tiny grilled cheese finger-food snacking sandwich, 1 gin and tonic, tap water. First: The sandwich was excellent, but only 4 bite sized little triangles. I could have eaten 3 to myself they were that good. Second: The potatoes without the sauce were warm and crispy; pretty decent. Third: the potatoes with the sauce were cold on the first bite and a bit soggy. Fourth: the gin and tonic was good, not out of this world, but good. What really made this place forgettable was the service. We had this waiter with a Mohawk-type haircut (non-Spanish speaker) who was indifferent, mostly absent, prickly, snarky, and condescending. I had to engage in 3 separate “flag-down-someone-just-anyone-to-ask-for-missing-items” Thankfully the other staff brought us what was missing. At any rate our bill was $84 for some potatoes, a miniature grilled cheese, one cocktail, and TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE. and FORCED to tip a person who did provide any service

This place is fantastic. Exactly what I’m looking for to score some delicious, authentic tapas. From the pan con tomate to the gambas, it had everything I was looking for and it all tasted fantastic. They seem to really push a wide variety of alcohol and cocktails, but didn’t offer quite as much Spanish wine as I would expect. In the end, it’s a bit of a Spanish/Steak/Craft Cocktail spot that I’m sure most will love. Shoot, I’d buy tickets to a show nearby just to have an excuse to sneak in to Vaca for a bite.It is an upscale place with prices to match. Space indoors is a bit narrow, I expect it can be quite loud when busy. Res recommended.
