Visited this place after a full day work. The restaurant had few customers. I ordered momos and they were half cooked. The chutney with momos was cold which means it wasn’t fresh. I ordered Thali with butter chicken and garlic naan. The taste was alright. Service was absolutely fantastic.Taste- 3/5Service- 5/5 during weekdaysAmbience- 3/5Overall worth trying
Best Indian food around. I'm obsessed. I've been looking for authentic dishes like this since I moved to orange county and was so happy to find this gem.
Why!? What’s going on in the kitchen.? I ordered a very nicely done lamb kabob that had so much salt in it that my blood pressure shot through the roof. My wife had steamed vegetable momos that were soggy and completely collapsed. The ingredients all seemed OK but the execution was just all wrong. Ignore this place. There are plenty of other decent Indian restaurants in the vicinity that know what they are doing and care about what their customers are putting into their mouths.
Favourite Indian place in and around Irvine! Very good food, reasonably priced, and the owner and staff are super nice. My favourite is their veg thali/combo where you can pick two sides from a wide range of options. They also have a number of Nepali food options that are great to try if you want something beyond standard North Indian fare.Have been here several times and never been disappointed, also catered for a 30 person event once and it was super smooth.
India Cafe is 3 - 3.5 starsChicken Tikka Masala: Flavorful sauce. There was about enough chicken in there for 1 skewer so a little pricey for what you are getting. The meat itself could have been more tender as well.Samosas: These tasted double fried and weren’t the freshest samosas we’ve had. You can tell by the shell and the filling. They were still edible though.Lentil soup: It is a small portion as others have mentioned and it’s pretty spicy, but it does taste comforting…Mango Lassi: This was 1 star bc it was just some powder mix. You can tell by the color that it is artificial and no real mangos were used so that is disappointing. If they are cutting corners with their mango lassi, then I wonder what else is just powder vs real ingredients. Our search continues for an Indian Restaurant we want to go back to in OC.
I was in the mood for Sag Paneer. Theirs is not that great, but it was a clean place, and the server was nice. I tried the Butter Chicken and I liked it. ? The price was right and the servings were great on the combo plate. I might go back and try some other things. I like Indian food every now and then.
Disclaimer...I'm just getting into Indian food. I have relied on family and friends to recommend good places. Although the service was a little slow ( it was pretty busy) which is a good sign when stepping into a new restaurant. The chicken marsala and tikki chicken were very good. I also enjoyed the chicken momo dumplings for the appetizer. The garlic nan bread was excellent.
Not Authentic Indian cuisine. Naan was soggy and raw. Dishes were sweet even at full spice. Can make people sick. Bad ambience
Good service. Clean with average seating space. Prompt service. average parking . Good communication skills.
Our favorite go to spot. Yak chili, butter chicken both level 7 spicy ? n garlic naan. Get it and you won’t regret it.
