I visited on a whim. I was underwhelmed. I got a a combo karaage meal with thighs and wings. It came with miso soup, a green salad, and a hefty amount of white rice. The rice was actually not bad. The miso was so-so. And you really can't go wrong with fried chicken but this was totally bland. The space is small. There are a couple of tables and counters eating meh.It was very cold. They had a couple of Japanese beers. I didn't try one.12 bucks will fill you up!
This place was awesome. I didn’t’ expect great wings and fried chickens in SoCal before I visited here.
Getting a chicken thighs bento just for $10 after tax is just insane! Tried it right after it's done feel like heaven ☺️ The rice is so well-cooked. Excited to try fried rice with karaage next time
One of the best fried chicken in the area, and price is more than fair
I am very picky with my chicken. However, I am absolutely in love with Tenkatori's fried chicken! I went to their Gardena location located in Tokyo Central in the past, and fell in love. This location is closer to me and I just discovered it today and I am so so so happy!I got the 8-piece karaage chicken and wow. The chicken is very juicy and flavorful, not to mention each piece is HUGE. The chicken itself is very fresh and none of that raw-smell. It's not oily at all, and I can eat 8 pieces without feeling nauseous afterwards.I look forward to buying again and even trying out new items! Love that the cashier and kitchen staff are all wearing masks too, makes me feel like the food I'm getting is made safely. I highly recommend!!
really really long wait. call ahead to order. good chicken, reasonable price.
I'm impressed they do an amazing job!
Really tasty karaage! Also the biggest pieces I’ve seen. I ordered the 8 piece not expecting each piece to be so substantial. Nice and crispy and very tender. I ordered the spicy tuna roll too and this did not disappoint. There’s a few tables and counter but this is mostly a take away business. A must try!
My brother suggested one of his fave places for lunch and offered to do a pickup since parking can be a hassle in that strip plaza.I chose #17 on the Box menu, which is a combination karaage (3 pcs thigh and 3 pcs wings). I’ve never been there before, so I wanted to try all the things! The box menu delivered on a little bit of everything since it came with rice, miso soup, and choice of 3 different side options labeled as A, B & C. Side A offered choice of tempura, croquettes or 2 pcs karaage. Side B offered California roll, veggie roll or edamame. Side C offered green salad or steamed veggies. For my entree, I selected tempura, veggie rolls and green salad. It was a well rounded meal and pretty filling. The thigh karaage pieces were generously portioned and so juicy! The wings were crispy, but I think I would go all in for the karaage next time.Definitely would like to come back to try their gizzard, tartar karaage, cartilage and gaburi (deep fried whole thigh). I am tempted to order their Family Pack 1 too, but we’ll see what happens when I’m back.
So I got here about ten till 9. there open sign was still on in the front window doors were unlocked. So not sure if the older lady is the owner or just a worker if she's just a worker here that's pretty ridiculous that you're taking money from the owner by closing early I drove 20 minutes out of my way to come here because of my friends review and I'm extremely disappointed. If you look closely enough to the photos you can see the older lady she's a short chubby really big breasted long blonde curly hair that she pulls back in her 50s I would say that's the lady that runs the register that told me it was closed at ten minutestill 9:00
